Title: The OFFICIAL Transactions Thread
Description: Hirings and Firings, yo

jamiegeist - April 18, 2006 06:21 AM (GMT)
At this time I will display everyone's roster. The rules are simple. Your roster right now rests anywhere between 33-35 workers depending on your draft. At no time during the season may your roster contain MORE than EDIT~40~EDIT workers. Workers include anyone on your talent list as a wrestler, manager, valet, etc. Announcers will be shared, and do not need to be worried about unless you want to.

Free Agency will open in 2 days. April 19, at 10 PM Eastern/9 PM Central, anyone may make any moves they wish to make. It will be on a first come, first serve basis, and you must post first to make the move official. You may not pick up your 35th worker until your 35th worker is released. Pretty simple really, now just make it work.

This thread is for the benefit of the individual territory owners, so you can update the rosters in your game. Feel free to make a post, detailing card status, alignment, and roster changes, when necessary.

EDIT: I will ATTEMPT to keep rosters current based on the moves made in the Signing and Firings Thread.

EDIT: Officially retired workers:

Kamala
Dick Slater

So, I drafted Tazz and you guys told me to create him for the game. Just wanted to push these stats by you:

Brawl 70
Speed 11
Technical 60
Stiffness 82
Selling 50
Over 75
Charisma 75
Attitude 90
Behavior 90

Announcer, Shooting Ability, and Menacing

Seem fair?

smkelly13 - April 18, 2006 11:04 AM (GMT)
I apologize for my absence last night. I was feeling under the weather, again, so I just went to sleep early last night.

I'm glad you guys were able to get things hashed out, and it looks like I have quite the roster !

SamoaRowe - April 18, 2006 12:31 PM (GMT)
Yeah, those look like good stats for Tazz.

Big F'N Swigg - April 18, 2006 02:23 PM (GMT)
Man, my roster's a real mixed bag

Big F'N Swigg - April 20, 2006 12:33 AM (GMT)
The 35 will be an issue as I've been told I need to hire 12 more. Maybe it should be 45

jamiegeist - April 20, 2006 01:23 AM (GMT)
I'm really not concerned with what sophie thinks. I feel that 35 is a nice number as it limits you to be cautious with your moves, yet gives you plenty to work with.

Will sophie's opinion on this matter? Who would look down on us? The other companies? BWAHAHAHAHA. Domination.

Sorry. But really, would this be an issue at all?

Big F'N Swigg - April 20, 2006 01:27 AM (GMT)
If it affects the ratings, then maybe. But I'm usually one to follow what Sophie says just because I get tired of reading it every time I go to a meeting

jamiegeist - April 20, 2006 01:32 AM (GMT)
Haha, I know what you mean about that. Think it would be okay to give it a go at the current limit, and if it seems to be affecting anything (like if we get an Email from TV saying anything about it) or something like that, we'll hold a Committee meeting to up it.

smkelly13 - April 20, 2006 05:01 AM (GMT)
They're in the game already Kido. ;)

jamiegeist - April 20, 2006 05:11 AM (GMT)
Lets see. This will take time to do correctly, so I'm just trying to help. The following are already owned in NWA:

Abdullah the Butcher
Nigel McGuiness
Tajiri
Val Venis

smKelly has Lance Storm as an agent, but that means nothing. You now own his rights as a worker.

As for the japanese guys, let me have a look here.

jamiegeist - April 20, 2006 05:13 AM (GMT)
Yeah, it looks like your Breaking Barriers needs updating to 7, or your data is perhaps old from modifications, or something.

Cause I'm finding KENTA, Kenta Kobashi, Misawa, Chono, Mutoh, and Akiyama.

smkelly13 - April 20, 2006 05:19 AM (GMT)
PRESS RELEASE:

NWA:PTL Owner and CEO Super Dragon has issued a statement regarding an employee of his, Lance Storm.

"Lance Storm is currently one of my top trainers. He has many responsibilities in the NWA:PTL. He's doesn't just serve as a trainer for the NWA:PTL, he is also a talent scout, and a road agent. He is a intricate piece of the NWA:PTL puzzle, and he helps keep us running like a well oiled machine. He came to me the other day, and asked me man to man if his schedule could be lightened, and some of his responsibilities be passed on to someone of high calibur. I knew what he was going to ask me, and before he could officially ask me, I granted him permission. He wanted to return to the ring. He's been on a hiatus for a long time, and he misses the ring wars. I'll be the first one to welcome Lance Storm back to the squared circle. Who knows, he may end up on the business end of a Psycho Driver courtesy of yours truly."

^ Hell yeah, that was nice.

dynamite kido - April 20, 2006 05:28 AM (GMT)
Weird.....anyone know where I can download the latest version?

jamiegeist - April 20, 2006 05:31 AM (GMT)
Lets see. A nice link that someone set up here. Let me see....

Booyeah.

dynamite kido - April 20, 2006 06:22 AM (GMT)
That's where I got EWR from in the first place. Am I honestly retarded here or what?

For some reason none of those Japanese wrestlers are on my version. Is there something I'm missing here?

jamiegeist - April 20, 2006 06:31 AM (GMT)
I have no clue what to tell you. Other than you need to download Breaking Barriers 7. You on AOL? This would be easier if we could talk a bit.

jamesgeistjr

I know I'm saying the same thing over and over, but I'm trying to make sure you downloaded and installed EWR, and then downloaded and installed breaking barriers 7. You'll also need the Arsenic Editor for setting up your game, although it is not for use in the middle of the game.

jamiegeist - April 20, 2006 06:34 AM (GMT)
Okay, the problem is definitely with Breaking Barriers, in some way. I went back to an old file, and none of the guys we discussed (KENTA, Kobashi, Misawa) are in the original 2003 roster release.

So, your EWR is fine....you need Breaking Barriers 7. I don't know what else to say, other than "Download and Install Breaking Barriers 7".

And sorry if I'm being redundant here.

dynamite kido - April 20, 2006 07:25 AM (GMT)
OK. I finally got everything up and running. I shouldn't have to use Lance Storm and I'll get my FINAL roster ready tomorrow.......

Let me know if this is a problem.

smkelly13 - April 20, 2006 11:23 AM (GMT)
You can use Storm all you want Kido, Super Dragon said so :)

NWA Japan is going to mop the floor with all the other scum. Except for Rowe, of course.

So you're Ernie's sugar daddy, are you?

Scrooge McSuck - April 21, 2006 01:35 AM (GMT)

I just got a mental picture of Scrooge in studded leather with whips and chains for some reason

Scrooge McSuck - April 21, 2006 01:39 AM (GMT)
What's wrong with that? ;)

Reply to geist... what are you so worried about?

jamiegeist - April 21, 2006 01:41 AM (GMT)
I don't know. You doing something retarded like making Kane have a dead girlfriend from 20 years ago that your main star humps un a funeral home. Or having him tie up Rowe's son to the ringpost and shock his balls. Or doing something retarded like having him star in a movie, and then try to bring it to life by having him hear voices, which WE can hear along with him.

Could we make an exception to have beyond 35 workers to hire a retiring worker for a month that isn't on anyone's current roster?

jamiegeist - April 21, 2006 03:50 PM (GMT)
You don't have one peice of dead weight you can cut off for a month?
