Who would be interested in doing a sim league in Out of the Park? You'd get to make up your own team and stuff. You wouldn't have to buy anything, just probably check on your team once a week. I'd need to see that there's at least 6 other people interested.

I'll work out the details if there's enough interest.

I'm always interested. :)

If you want to read up on it:

I have 6.5 currently so we might use that. But I might have us wait till June and use the 2006 version.

I'll have much, much more time in June, so if you decide to do it then, count me in.

Yeah, I think June sounds good. The new version is supposed to be a little more friendly for C&Ping to here.

But anyway my idea is this:

We'd sim 15 days at a time. And the sim days would probably be Wednesday and Saturday. So that would move us a month a week. Offseason would probably be 2 weeks of signing new players. Maybe 3 weeks after awhile.

As far as your team. You would make up the city and the team name. Players would be fictional and the record books would be clean. So it should be interesting.

If we can really stick with it I might buy a website and then upload right from the game as it makes a really nice website.

Finances I'm unsure about. It's an added element to the game but it would really suck if someone bankrupted their team and then had to be the league bitch for several years.

There will be full AAA, AA and A minor leagues for each team.

This sounds great. I'm a huge stathead, so this is right up my alley. I'm not familiar with how this works, but can I make up player names and city name ahead of time?

Mad Dog - April 14, 2006 04:57 AM (GMT)
Yeah, just have your city and team name in mind. The players will just be randomly generated by the computer. But I'll do an indepth thing on ratings and all that so you'll know what to look for in players.

I think if you go to the web site I linked earlier that you can download a demo of OOTP 6.5 and get a brief idea of what the game is about. I consider it to be the best sim out there.

I'm probably going to start a solo league this weekend. I'll make a thread on here and post about what's going on to give you an idea how things would work.
