Title: Getting Started

Big F'N Swigg - April 9, 2006 11:16 PM (GMT)
First off, you'll need to go here.
There you will find a copy of EWR 4.2 (if you don't already have it) and Breaking Barriers 7. For this to work properly, you will need to install Breaking Barriers 7. It's a stat update that gives us all the same information.

Ok, here's how we're going to do it: We'll select our territories in this thread. Choose which territories you want, regardless of what other people have already put up. If there are conflicts, we'll draft for territories.

Next, we're going to select the workers. As in, the wrestlers. What you need to do is look through the list of the several THOUSAND workers in the File Editor, and PM me a list of your top 100. I know that seems like a lot, but really it's not. As a rule, we'll leave Japanese and Mexican workers out of the draft, unless it's someone who works in North America A LOT. We're trying to make this as realistic as possible

Now, write out a list of your 10 top choices for managers. We'll draft them, too. Just because it saves us some room for workers.

Once we've decided who's going where, here's what to do courtesy of Mad Dog, the man behind the DWB NWA idea:
QUOTE (Mad Dog)
go into the file editor and erase every federation except for the one you'll be playing. Your promotion will be a 50 rated national with 15 million in startup money. Titles are completely up to you. Then go to tv shows and give yourself an NWA Saturday Night slot for early evenings on Saturday on TBS. Then just start a game on easy, we're not worried about financials just working together, and we're all set.

The Championship Committee will be made up of all of us with a territory. Since Rowe's the moderator he is the unoffical President of the NWA. He can take part in votes and give input on things. The Committee's job will be to decide where our champions go. Each territory will have to submit a petition at the start of every month with their top challengers. The Committee will then vote on where the champions go. As far as floating titles are concerned, the Committee will vote before every title match and decide the winner. Will the champion retain or will the challenger win? Along with your petition you'll be required to submit a list of your top 10 contenders and from that we'll form a National Top 20 every month.

As territories you will be able to have temporary talent exchanges or permanently trade away talent. All of that is between the owners and the Committee can't get involved. Everything that happens within your territory will be completely up to you except when a floating champion comes to town.

Any questions?

So to do this, I can't have another game going at the same time eh? Since we'll be erasing all other territories and all that jazz. Or is that just exclusive to that certain game?

Just download EWR again and save it to another folder. That's what I did :)

I'll get started on my list soon...

You can have another game going. Once you've started the NWA game, you can just re-install the stat update. Stat updates don't mess with games you've already got going, either

Won't the stat update re-update the stats though, many of which have changed already over the course of my game?

Big F'N Swigg - April 11, 2006 01:54 PM (GMT)
The stat update won't effect any saved games, just the new ones

What do you mean???

smkelly13 - April 12, 2006 04:24 PM (GMT)
The stats for marketing, advertising. Like, it's at 50% right now, and can go down to 1% or 100%.

Good point. I was actually wondering about that the other night while I was setting up my fed.

That's all up to you. That's individual territory stuff, up to the person running it. You start with 15 mil on easy, so it really shouldn't matter
