You know NOTHING of Outkast's debut CD. It's different than everything else they ever did.............just like the rest of their stuff.
Plus, Outkast in 1994 were what Southern rap STILL wants to be.
The Last Free Voice - March 28, 2006 01:37 AM (GMT)
Ah. I don't dig Southern Rap at all. Perhaps that's it.

I haven't liked OutKast as much the last couple years, but they're still one of the best rap groups ever, hands down, no discussion.
Especially "13th Floor- Growing Old".

Perhaps you should listen to it. I said it was what Southern rap SHOULD be. Not what you are currently hearing.

Don't get me started on the quality of Southern rap now.

Jeff Buckley - Grace
OK, I've heard about the brilliance of Jeff Buckley for a decade now, and finally got around to checking him out. I certainly appreciate the artistic nature of it, but it's not my cup of tea.

I think a lot of people's love for Jeff Buckley comes from finding him at a certain age. Kind of like how you loved a movie as a kid, but when you watch it now the only good thing about it is the nostalgia.
It's either that, or he's got that "attractive coffee shop singer" vibe that chicks go for
whitemilesdavis - March 30, 2006 03:25 PM (GMT)
I hate to say it, but I think it's because he's dead. Somehow dieing at a young age makes you a genius.
