3/11/06- GWS: “The Beginning”- From New York City. Your hosts are Dave Meltzer on Play by Play and Ed “I’m being serious this time” Ferrara on colour. The arena’s nice, with production about on par for what you’d expect out a ROH sized promotion. Nothing flashy, but it doesn’t look like some rinky-dink gym.
The show starts off with Samoa Joe in the back, talking about his match with Tenzan tonight. He talks about his match with Kobashi, and the rush it gave him, and how he’s looking to take that feeling to the next level tonight with a win. Decent promo. Then we go to our first match of the night:
CIMA vs Jack Evans.
These two set the roof on fire right from the get-go with a tonne of flip-flop to start, sending the fans into a frenzy. They proceed to put on a nice back and forth spot fest that lasts about eight minutes or so. Evans hits a sick Sky-Twister press dive to the outside, nearly overshooting and taking out the first row. CIMA fires back and takes over with some sweet Lucha submissions, tying Evans up like a pretzel in three or four different ways. Evans takes back over with a drop-sault and hits a SWEET Twisting Inziguri that leaves CIMA prone for the 630, which he hits for the victory.
This was a fun match to start the show with. CIMA got a nice little ovation after the match.
Next the familiar tones of Misera Cantare by A.F.I. Toll through the arena, and CM Punk makes his return to the indy scene, microphone in hand. He proceeds to cut a blistering promo on just about everyone, giving the fans a cliffs notes version of his parting of ways with WWE, and tearing them a new one for not standing by him during the entire process. He says that he’s no longer wrestling because he loves to, he’s wrestling to prove EVERYONE wrong. He says he will prove he’s the best wrestler in the world… but he can’t start until his 90 days are up, which is NEXT month. Big heat for that. He ends the promo by saying everyone better watch out.
Next up we have a “No Holds Barred” Match between:
Abyss vs Necro Butcher.
This match was all over the place, and a pretty nice little brawl. Some nice weapon shots from Abyss which Necro just eats up and fires right back. It spills out into the crowd for a bit, with Necro leaping off the bleachers with a chair right to Abyss’s dome. The head back to the ring and just start exchanging SICK forearms and chops. Necro brings a frying pan into play (I have no clue where from) and just WAFFLES Abyss with it. That only gets two. They keep going back and forth and Necro tosses him, looking to hit a frying-pan shot from the apron to the floor, but Abyss catches him and PLANTS him on the floor with a Black Hole Slam! That gets the win!
Not a bad match at all. Gave the fans of brawling something to enjoy, and it was sickly stiff at times, but nothing too garbagey or gratuitous. Also, Abyss winning satisfies the TNA bunch, which is always a good thing with Samoa Joe in the Main Event picture.
Next up we see Chris Hero getting ready for his match with Doug Williams in the locker room. We pan over and see CM Punk standing smugly in the doorway. They have a little exchange, with Hero getting some barbs in about Punk’s departure from WWE. Punk tells Hero that he better watch his back, because Punk won’t.
Next up we have tag action!
The Stampede Bulldogs vs The Briscoe Brothers.
Standard feelout process to start, as the crowd’s really hot for the Briscoe’s. Some dumbfuck starts a “We Want Teddy” chant, which gets a nice little flippant remark from Jay. The match heats up with Mark playing face in peril for a bit then making the hot tag. Finish comes with Jay and Mark hitting the Back Suplex-Neckbreaker on Wilson for the win.
A nice little match that got all four guys a chance to show off their moves and whatnot. Nothing mind-blowing however.
Next up:
Chris Hero vs Doug Williams.
A great British-style technical match that sadly went over the heads of some fans. A few “Boring” chants from some fucknuts off camera really brought the atmosphere down, which hurt the match. They go back and forth for going on thirty minutes before Williams takes the win with the Chaos Theory after breaking out of the Hero’s Welcome due to all the arm work he’d done previously.
Good match that would have been great if the crowd weren’t being douche bags.
Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs Samoa Joe.
Huge ovations for both men. Stare down to start. Joe just UNLOADS with a slap. Crowd goes nuts. Crowd’s not as hyped as for Joe vs. Kobashi, however. They go into the whole “I chop you a tonne, you chop me back” deal, which leads to Joe bringing the Kawada kicks. Tenzan fires back with forearms, but Joe goes to the knees to the head and nearly takes Tenzan’s head off with one, which sends Tenzan rolling to the floor. Joe follows him with the ELBOW SUICIDA!~! And here comes the OLE KICK! He rolls him back in the ring and gets two. Tenzan fires off some elbows to the gut and hits some Mongolian Chops and a stiff kick to the head which gets two. He looks for a DDT but Joe pushes him off against the ropes and when he comes back he NAILS an Inziguri!
The match panders on, and Joe wins with the Choke. Post match They do the “handshake out of respect” deal and then the lights go out, and when they come back on CM PUNK~! Is in the ring with a chair and he just WHOMPS both guys. He does the X pose to the hard cam then leaves through the crowd.
(It hit me that I’ve never seen a Tenzan match, and didn’t know enough about the guy to fake it, so you get the abrupt treatment. I’ll make it up with Ki/Liger.)
Next up we get some pre-taped comments from one Alicia Webb (Think Ryan Shamrock) saying she’s brought in a “Star of Tomorrow” to take over the GWS. Lots of people seem to be wanting to do that, huh?
We get a music video of Liger in Japan, then one with Ki in Japan. That leads straight into:
Jushin Liger vs Low-Ki.
Ki is in his “Thug” attire, which wasn’t what I was expecting. Streamers for Liger, which was cool. Slow start, with mat work and feeling out. Liger worked at Ki’s leg to try to neutralize the kicks. Ki escapes from a leg-bar and unleashes a hellish series of kicks to Ligers legs which draws a nice “OHHHH!” from the crowd. Liger gets up and just uncorks Ki’s Jaw with a series of Palm Strikes which just IGNITES the crowd. He follows it up by shooting him off the ropes and connects with a Kneecap Dropkick! He follows up with a Dragon-Screw and figure four that has Ki writhing in pain! He makes the ropes, and as Liger goes to pick him up he dumps him to the floor, giving him time to regroup. He shakes his leg out, to “regain feeling” and jumps Liger as he comes back in, kicking him in his neck. He snap mares him and puts on a neck-vice. He then unloads with some Mongolian Chops and a snap suplex, getting two.
He picks him up and shoots him into the turnbuckle, and follows with the TIDAL KRUSH! LIGER MOVES! KI LANDS ON HIS FEET ON THE MIDDLE ROPE! POWERBOMB BY LIGER! KI ROLLS THROUGH! 1...2...NO! SQUARE OFF! THE CROWD IS NUCLEAR!
They lock up again and Liger goes for the leg but gets smothered with a front face lock by Ki. He twists at the neck, but Liger rolls out into a hammer lock and picks the leg, grabbing an ankle lock. Ki does the headstand-kick to the chest thing then does some cool looking thing into a Crossface, but Liger makes the ropes.
Ki stays on him with forearms and then the Kawada-kicks, but Liger blocks the last one and nails a Koppu Kick! He heads up top but misses the diving head butt! Ki’s up and just UNLOADS with chops. Liger fires back with some of his own and looks for a clothesline, but Ki ducks and hits a BRUTAL German suplex, with a bridge for 2! More Kawada kicks follow, and Ki bounds off the ropes and clobers him with a running forearm for another 2!
Ki picks him up and kicks away at him, dropping him to a knee. He hits with the first two kicks of the three kick combo, and teases the third, but then just flips the crowd off, drawing huge boo’s and a “LIGER” chant. Liger does the “Hulking up” bit and fires off some Palm-strikes and then shoots him off the rope and hit’s the RUNNING PALM STRIKE that turns him inside out! Cover gets two! He picks him up and looks for the LIGERBOMB~! But Ki falls out the back and kicks him in the gut and connects with a SHINING WIZARD~! ONE! TWO! NO!!! Crowd is INSANE!
Ki looks for the KI KRUSHER but Liger counters and hit’s a SNAP LIGER BOMB! He picks him back up! FISHERMANS BUSTAHHHHH! ONE! TWO! THREE!
After the match Liger offers Ki a handshake out of respect. Ki gives him the ole stick-eye and walks away, drawing massive heat.
POST SHOW PROMO’S
Samoa Joe is in the back, fuming. He’s got a huge welt on his head. He cuts a very intense promo on CM Punk. “I don’t know what snapped inside your head when you left Titan Towers that last time, but I don’t care. You’ve started a war you can’t win. We’ve seen that in the past. But now, I swear, I’m going to end you.” Joe is not happy.
Jack Evans is in the back, hyping himself to the moon. “Best Highflier in the business” this and “Sucka’s bout to get served” that. Yadayada.
And the camera catches Low-Ki STORMING out of the arena, bag in hand. The camera man shouts at Ki for his thoughts on the night, but he just keeps going, slamming the door on his way out. This ends the show…

The Last Free Voice - February 7, 2006 05:01 PM (GMT)
NEW TALENT ANNOUNCED FOR ALL HELL! FIRST MATCHES SIGNED!
Samoa Joe has made it crystal clear to GWS officals that he wants CM Punk in the ring at All Hell (Breaks Loose). Possibly out of fear of a facewash, GWS officals obliged. So the first match signed for the show is Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk, which will be the main event. CM Punk could not be reacehd for comment.
Also signed is a US Indy Dream tag match, as the debuting team of Super Dragon and Excalibur will take on the Briscoe Brothers! The Briscoe's took down Canada's top tag team last month in NYC, now they're looking to prove their dominance over So-Cal's number one tandem!
Also, the GWS offices are proud to announce that AUSTIN ARIES and RODERICK STRONG will both be making thier GWS debuts on the show! Stay tuned for more updates next week!

MORE MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR ALL HELL (BREAKS LOOSE)! CM PUNK'S COMMENTS!
International Sensation "The Wonderkid" Jonny Storm will be making his GWS debut at All Hell (Breaks Loose) on 4/22 in Detroit! He's one of Englands top high fliers, and he'll be taking on Jack Evans! This could be a show stealing match, so don't miss it.
Also, it's been announced that Roderick Strong will be taking on Austin Aries. It's been handed down that they both requested this to be their debut match.
Also, CM Punk has released this statement from His Livejournal:
"Ya know, ever since "The Beginning" people have been asking me why I destroyed Joe and Tenzan. I just laugh. I mean, it's obvious to anyone with two brain cells to rub together (which eliminates most of the fanbase) why I did it. I said that night that I was looking to prove everyone wrong. And I figure I'd start at the top. By knocking off Fathead Joe I made a statement. I'm not fucking around here. I'm here to win titles and be the top guy, and no one is going to stop me. Watchout in Motown, because I've got big plans..."
Stay tuned for the final card for "ALL HELL (BREAKS LOOSE)" later this week!
Real F'n Show - February 7, 2006 11:44 PM (GMT)

The Last Free Voice - May 16, 2006 04:46 PM (GMT)
GWS: ALL HELL (BREAKS LOOSE) from Detroit Michigan! Hosts are Meltzer and Ferrarra.
Show starts off with the camera guys catching Joe at his Merch table as fans walk in. He’s posing with fans, signing stuff, and so on. Then out of NOWHERE CM Punk just levels Joe with a chair! Stuff goes FLYING everywhere and fans are just freaking out. Punk then gives Joe a Pepsi Twist through the table! He then stands over Joe making his “X” symbol and the crowd is just shell-shocked. The show hadn’t even started yet!
From that we head straight into our opening contest!
Jack Evans vs Jonny Storm.
Awesome back and forth, flippy floppy match. Both guys were “on” here, looking crisp and busting out some exciting moves. Evans in particular busted out his “big guns”, probably looking to secure himself a Main Event position in this new company. He hit his Standing 360 SSP, and his “Ode to the Blitzkrieg” series of insane flips. Storm wasn’t one to be outdone, though, busting out some sick ‘rana variations, including hitting his “Super Rewind Rana” which is better known as the Dragon’s Ray. Evans takes the win after hitting a Michinoku Driver and then the 630.
Very good opening match that got the crowd going. Let’s see if the next match can make it a trend…
BUT FIRST… CM Punk has the microphone. He cuts another promo on Joe, this time explaining his actions at the start of the show. He says HE makes the rules, and that he’ll fight Joe on his own terms, which just so happen to be that Joe has had his head bashed in going into the match. He says that some of the promoters are angry at him, but he poses one simple question: “Who’s gonna stop me?”.
And now we have:
Austin Aries vs Roderick Strong.
These two obviously know each other very well, and it shows in the match. Crowd’s fairly pumped for this one. Feel-out process to start, to establish that they can counter each others moves. The commentators do a good job pointing out the story of the match, which is both guys trying new moves to catch the other off guard.
After a few minutes Aries takes over by taking Strong to the mat. Strong’s no slouch with the ground game, but Aries stays one move ahead. He focuses on the neck, with various neck vice and crossface variations. He looks to slap on the Rings of Aries, but Rod makes the ropes.
Rod fires it up with the huge chops, and it’s brutally clear that Aries can’t hang with him in the striking game. Strong uses this advantage to fire off two very swank Back-Breakers and it’s obvious he’s in control of the match.
Strong controls for a while, but Aries fires off some of his signature spots, including the Crucifix Driver, and he goes for the 450. Strong gets his knees up then hit’s the CX 03 for the win!
Solid match that let both guys showcase their skills. Postmatch they do a handshake/hug thing.
Next up:
S.B.S. vs The Briscoe Brothers.
S.B.S. is Super Dragon and Excalibur, to top guys from PWG, the Global Wrestling Syndicate’s sister promotion in So-Cal.
Excalibur and Mark start with some nice technical exchanges, with a bit of flip flop thrown in. They stalemate and tag in the big hitters, who just start UNLOADING in that “American Strong Style” people either love or hate. Crowd was on the “love” side of the argument, getting hotter with each overly stiff forearm shot. Dragon just UNLOADS with a palm strike. He tags Ex and they hit a Hart-Attack clothesline for two.
They proceed to do the “cut the ring in half” bit, with Dragon bringing the dickheadedness. He just bitchslaps Jay all to hell and tosses him around like a rag doll with all sorts of suplexes. Jay fires back with a Yakuza Kick and makes the Hot tag to Mark, who does the “house of fire” bit.
Finish comes with a dual J-Driller/Cut-Throat Suplex.
Solid tag match, but nothing special. Crowd has no reason to care for random tag pairings.
Next we head backstage, where Alex Shelley has words for Doug Williams. He says Detroit is his home turf, and there’s no way he’s losing. Decent promo.
This leads to…
Alex Shelley vs Doug Williams.
Shelley is MAD over in his home town, and Williams, who usually gets the “OMG, FOREIGN GUY” cheers, is actually getting booed.
Great back and forth match, with lots of nutty British reversals and whatnot. Williams controls the first part of the match by bringing the stiff European uppercuts. He stretches him but Shelley hangs with him without much trouble. Shelley hit’s a super kick to a mad pop and takes over.
He busts out more swank submissions and whatnot, then they start trading the high-impact moves. Williams connects with his “Bomb Scare” series of knee’s, and Shelley hit’s a variation of the Devilock DDT.
The match is pretty much a stalemate with both competitors countering each others big moves. Shelley takes the win by countering the Chaos Theory into a Sliced Bread #2
Next we see some pre-taped comments from Alicia Webb, promising, again, to bring someone in. Rumour has it that this was supposed to be Sean O’Haire, but he injured his neck in a MMA Fight. Could be bullshit, though.
And now for the MAIN EVENT:
CM Punk vs Samoa Joe.
Joe is out to the theme of “Another Body Murdered”, which he used for quite a time in ROH. Crowd’s crazy geeked for this one. Punk is out to Miseria Cantare by A.F.I. Somewhat surprisingly, he’s actually getting booed.
Joe offers a handshake to start. Punk just smirks at him. “Where do you think you are Joe?”
Joe does NOT look pleased. “Shake my GOD DAMN HAND.”
Punk spits at him. (The crowd: OHHHHH!) This is the final straw. Joe UNLOADS with an open hand slap that knocks Punk’s head out into the third row. Well, almost. It does send Punk bailing out to the outside. He stalls. Joe is seething on the inside, waiting for him. He makes the ref back Joe off before getting back in, drawing a “CM PUSSY” chant.
They lock up and Punk gets thrown to the ground. Joe moves to lock up again and Punk goes to the eyes. He punches him in the head and goes for the headlock. Joe promptly tosses him halfway across the ring.
Joe: “Where do you think YOU are?” The crowd pops. Punk throws a hissy fit and powders again. More boo’s. He jaws with a fan for a minute until out of NOWHERE Joe comes flying out with the elbow suicida. The crowd EXPLODES as Joe starts lighting Punk up with chops and shin-kicks, then looks for the Ole kick. Punk dodges and Joe kicks the guardrail. Punk rolls back in the ring and jumps on Joe as soon as he rolls back in.
Punk looks to work over his neck with various elbows and chops to the neck. He slaps on a Cravat, but Joe powers out and nails Punk with a palm strike which sends him reeling. Punk powders AGAIN and rethinks his strategy. He jumps back in the ring and immediately goes after Joe’s left knee. The commentators do a good job of pointing out this shift in strategy.
Punk dropkicks Joe's knee and brings him down to one knee, and looks for the shining wizard. Joe ducks and gets to a vertical base, and tries a lariat, which Punk ducks and then hits ANOTHER dropkick to the knee, this time dropping Joe. Punk then hits... a knee bar. Boo's abound. Joe kicks him in the head, once, twice, but on the third Punk ducks and Joe rolls over, putting Punk in perfect position for an STF. He gives Joe the badmouth but Joe makes the ropes. Punk holds on all the way to four and a half, giving the ref the "I'VE GOT 'TILL FIVE!" line he's used a bazillion times before.
Punk stays right on Joe, kicking him in the knee and hitting a dragon-screw. He looks to slap on a figure-four, but Joe kicks him away and off the ropes, getting up quickly and hitting his Leg sweep, sending Punk crashing to the mat. Both men get to their feet at exactly the same time and it's CHOP CITY! Joe gets the better of the exchange, shockingly enough, and just UNLOADS on Punk with a Shotei. He follows with a leaping Inziguri for a two count!
Punk goes to the eyes and busts out a Pepsi Twist out of NOWHERE! Cover gets two! He picks Joe up and looks for the Devilock DDT, but Joe counters with a Judo Throw and looks for a Crossface, but Punk rolls through and looks for a Shining Wizard as Joe stands up, but Joe ducks! Both men to their feet and Joe scores with his jumping Yakuza kick, sending Punk to the outside! Joe follows and sets Punk up for the Ole kick... AND CONNECTS! PUNK LOOKS LIKE HE'S OUT!!!
The crowd is chanting for one more, so Joe decided to oblige. He sets him up on the opposite side, but Punk moves and tosses a char at Joe's head! The ref is now outside trying to get them back in, and he catches a right hand to the chops from Joe! There's the bell! Apparently it's a no contest! Crowd is NOT happy, but they're a little more concerned about the brawl still going on! Punker dropkicks Joe in the knee which just guillotines him throat-first over the guardrails! He rolls him back in the ring, grabbing a chair to boot, and BUSTS JOE WIDE OPEN WITH A CHAIR ASSITED SHINING WIZARD! AAAAANNNNNDDD HERE'S SECURITY!
The show ends in chaos, with Joe ENRAGED by the sight of his own blood, and Punk not backing down at all, laughing maniacally the whole time.
Pretty good match that was obviously building to something more. The ending had the crowd pissed off, but the post match brawl, which apparently lasted even longer than shown, seemed to make up for it.
Overall, another solid show, if unspectacular. Rumor has it they got themselves a TV show, so hopefully things will start happening faster now.

4/30- MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR DEBUT REVOLUTION TV, PLUS FALLOUT FROM CM PUNK/SAMOA JOE BRAWL!
The first matches for our debut show on America One have been released today by the GWS Offices! The first is a High Fliers dream match, as JACK EVANS takes on the debuting International Star DRAGON KID. Evans has already racked up wins against CIMA and Johnny Storm, can Evans go 3 for 3 against international stars? And when will someone from the US step up to challenge him as top high flier?
THE BRISCOE BROTHERS have also started off 2 for 2 in the GWS, and they look to go for three in a row against THE BACKSEAT BOYZ, who are also making their GWS debut. Kashmere and Acid have said that they've been inactive as a team for so long that some teams have started to forget just who they were, so they're looking to make an impact.
DELIRIOUS has also been announced and will take on JIMMY JACOBS.
And the GWS offices have released a statement today concerning the chaos that ensued after the main event of the last show, saying "Carnage like that instigated by CM Punk will not be tolerated in the GWS. CM Punk has been suspended for thirty days, and will NOT be on REVOLUTION TV for the entirety of May, nor will he be appearing at DEATH COMES RIPPING later this month. We are sorry to all the fans, but we can not allow the inmates to run the asylum."
(EDIT: I'd like to make it known I was typing as Scrooge posted that, and CM Punk ain't going anywhere. Odd coincidence, though.)

GWS: REVOLUTION TV FOR 5/2
With Meltzer and Ferrara
They're in Cleveland Ohio at the "GWS UnderGround", which pretty much looks like the Agora converted for a wrestling show. Decent set up, nothing fancy. What you'd expect out of ROH or MLW, way back when. Decent opening graphic to start, showing stills from their first two shows over top of "Firestorm" by EarthCrisis.
First up is:
Delirious vs Jimmy Jacobs.
Dueling "HUSS" and "BAH" chants to start from a very small percentage of the crowd. The rest of the crowd seems kinda deadlike. They both go back and forth with thier gimmicky offense, with Jacobs hitting a Huss Boot for a nearfall. Delirious hits the Shadows Over Hell and his little running Knee thing I can never remember. He looks for the Invitro Fertilization but Jacobs slides out and nails the Contra Code for the out of nowhere win!
Decent match that gave both guys a chance to show off their skills. Crowd wasn't feeling it, though.
::Commercial::
Samoa Joe heads out to the ring, bandage over his eye from the brawl after the main event of All Hell (Breaks Loose). He gets on the microphone and runs down Punk, bringing up the fact that Punk STILL hasn't beaten him. He says Punk went and got himself suspended because he was afraid of Joe. But then out of NOWHERE, well, out of the crowd, Punk, in street clothes, jumps Joe! He pulls a chain out of his hoodie and busts Joe's eye back open! Security swarms the ring and carries Punk off, and the medics come out to tend to Joe. We head to Commercial.
Alex Shelley vs Jonny Storm.
Very good match here, but it was killed by a dead crowd. Both guys looked really "on", busting out some great luchapean hybrid offence. Storm hit a sick 'rana variation, basically hitting a Dragons Rey off the middle of the ropes, not the turnbuckles. Shelley didn't disappoint, tying him up in all sorts of nasty ways. Shelley takes the win with the Border City Stretch.
Awesome match, bad crowd. Boo Cleveland.
Next we swing to Jack Evans in the back who proves why he needs someone to talk for him. Horrid promo.
::Commercial::
The Briscoe Brothers vs Backseat Boyz.
Very good match between two teams that know each other very well. Match started off fast with both teams getting to showcase their flashy double teams, and settled down to the typical "Mark gets pummeled" formula. The Backseats hit him with a few more double-teams, including the DREAM SEQUENCE~! but he won't stay down. He fires back because he has "Fighting Spirit" and ends up making the Tag, letting Jay come in and clean house. Yakuza Kick for Trent, Roaring Elbow for Johnny, Mark comes in and they hit a Backdrop Suplex/Neckbreaker on Trent for two! They toss him outside of the ring and Johnny eats Doomsday Device for the Briscoe's win!
::Commercial::
After the return, we get a video hyping the debut of THE GREAT MUTA, apparently for the World Title Tourney, which will start after Death Comes Ripping. We get clips of his work in Japan, including some sick shots of the Shining Wizard.
Then we get a "highlights" of:
Alexis Laree vs Allison Danger.
All reports indicate that this sucked great big donkey balls live. We see Allison doing some generic heel bitch tactics, Allison hitting a DDT, Alexis hitting a palancha to the outside and nearly dying, and the finish, a Tornado DDT. Total Clipjob.
AAAANNNNDDDD the Briscoe Brothers have the microphone, cutting a promo about how they're unbeatable. Same old same old. Issued an open challenge to any international team at Death Comes Ripping.
::Commercial::
Dragon Kid vs Jack Evans.
The crowd is actually pretty pumped for Evans, and is respectful for Dragon Kid. This match was actually kind of disappointing. The guys clicked and all, but the match lacked that "Big Match" feel. They went back and forth with cool flippy-floppy stuff, with Dragon Kid taking over for a short time. Evans came back with a one footed Dropsault, sending DK to the outside. He followed with a no hands twisting palancha to a mad pop. He rolls him back in and hits his Standing 360 SSP for a two count. DK comes back with a sick Shoulder-Climb Rana for two. He looks for some Cross-Armed Powerbomb, but Evans falls out the back and hits a SICK Tornado Roundhouse kick and ascends the corner and nails the 630 for the win!
Good match that never got going. The finish felt kind of rushed.
And now we get a video hyping the return of Lyger at Death Comes Ripping.
And now our final commercial break!
Samoa Joe vs Super Dragon.
Crowd is pretty solidly behind Joe. They waste no time going for the STIFFNESS as Joe and Dragon just start elbowing the SHIT out of each other. Joe dominates the smaller Dragon, who doesn't back down and keeps firing back with wicked shots of his own. Joe looks for a roundhouse kick but Dragon ducks and fires off a dropkick, sending Joe off balance and through the ropes to the outside. Dragon bounds off the opposite ropes and SOARS through the air with a tope con hilo, connecting SQUARE on Joe. Dragon stays right on him with stiff kicks to the chest and head. Joe rolls back in the ring and Dragon follows with a springboard dropkick to the skull. Cover gets two.
Dragon tries to stay on him with more stiff strikes, but Joe fires off a palm strike and leaping Inziguri to stop the flurry of offence. Dragon tries to bound off the ropes, possibly looking for a running palm strike, but Joe catches him with a big power slam for two! As Dragon starts to get up Joe brings the Knee strikes to the head, drawing "ohhs!" from the crowd. His last one stands Dragon straight up and he looks for the knockout palm strike, but Dragon ducks and unleashes a flurry of chops and elbows to Joe's chin! Joe staggers back against the ropes and fires back with a HUGE LARIAT THAT DAMN NEAR TAKES DRAGON'S HEAD OFF! COVER! 1...2...NO!
Joe thought he had him as he picks him back up and connects with a series of left jabs to the face and looks for another jumping Inziguri, but Dragon ducks and jumps in the air and DOUBLE STOMPS JOE IN THE HEAD! Cover for two! As Joe rises he looks for the ever-popular SHINGING WIZARD, but Joe is apparently as sick of that move as we are, so he pushes Dragons knee away and just SLAPS THE TASTE OUT OF HIS MOUTH. Dragon looks OUT. We're talking knees buckling, standing eight count out. JUST TO BE SURE, Joe picks him up, takes him to the corner, sets him up and KILLS HIM DEAD WITH THE MUSCLEBUSTER! IT'S SOOOO OVER!
Post match, Joe celebrates... and here's Punk from behind! NO! JOE CATCHES HIM COLD WITH A LARIAT! JOE WAS WAITING FOR PUNK! Joe just starts UNLOADING with knees to the head and Punk bails! Security storms the ring and CARRIES PUNK OFF! The show ends with Samoa Joe standing victoriously in the ring while his adversary is carried off by the cops.
Overall, a good show matchwise, but the lack of atmosphere really hurt it.

GWS.COM UPDATES! 5/5
REVOLUTION TV debuted on America One with a great .45 rating, which everyone involved is thrilled with. However, management was NOT thrilled with CM Punk making an appearence. He's been barred from the building for the rest of the month, and extra security will be in place.
GWS.COM has also learned that a HUGE SIGNING has taken place, to bring a Superstar of international importance to the GWS, but we can't say who yet. Rumour has it that He'll make himself known at DEATH COMES RIPPING.
The Backseat Boyz were apparently really ticked off at the promo the Briscoe's cut on them after their match.
Jushin Lyger's opponent for DEATH COMES RIPPING will be announced this week on REVOLUTION TV!
And in this week's Main Event, SAMOA JOE will take on CHRIS HERO, in a match that Joe asked for. "Hero is one of Punk's best known opponents, who has taken him to the limit many times. I'm going to beat the hell out of him, as a message to Punk." Hero was not happy about being written off so lightly. "Joe is in for a big surprise if he thinks I'm just Punks cohort. We'll see on Tuesday."
