Big F'N Swigg - November 16, 2005 02:58 AM (GMT)
NWA Midwest Saturday Night: 12/3/05

MATCH #1: Blackout & Onyx vs. Collyer & ????

Rainman, Murder One & Onyx march their way to the ring with some SERIOUS attitude. Chad Collyer walks out, and “Sweet Home Alabama” plays over the speakers. Out walks Tracy Smothers & Chris Hamrick. SOUTHERN COMFORT! Here’s a question: Are we gonna get “Rap is Crap 2” out of this? The match is good, with Southern Comfort & Collyer playing southern gentlemen to Blackout & Onyx’s ghetto thugs. Onyx lays especially hard into Collyer. There’s also a triple team on Hamrick. The hot tag goes to Smothers, who throws Onyx clear to the floor and takes on Murder One and Rainman singlehandedly for a bit. But he forgets Onyx is the legal man, and Onyx hit’s the Dirty South Drop for the win.

WINNERS: Blackout & Onyx-*½

BACKSTAGE…

ALEX SHELLEY has the mic, and some words for RHINO. He’s upset that Rhino attacked him. Sure, he hit Rhino with a chair, but he’s hit LOTS of people with chairs. This was one that wasn’t meant for Rhino. If anything, Rhino should be mad at Collyer for ducking. SERIOUSLY. Not to mention that Collyer’s the one that pinned him. What did Shelley do? He waited outside the ring because he respects Rhino. So attack Collyer, not Shelley.

MATCH #2: Spanky vs. Nigel McGuinness

Spanky comes out in pink tights. Macho, there, Spankster. McGuinness comes out, iron in hand. Spanky tells the ref that he doesn’t trust Nigel and the ref tells Nigel to put the iron on the announce table. Styles and Tazz admire it. Nigel starts chain wrestling with Spanky, and it ends with Nigel grabbing Spanky’s butt. Spanky gets up and looks at Nigel, who points at the pink tights. Guess Nigel is a little confused. Spanky and Nigel go at it some more, and the Cocky McGuinness gets the victory with The Union Jack.

WINNER: Nigel McGuinness -*1/2

MATCH #3: MNM vs. The Briscoes

Both teams put out a good effort in the match. Melina tried to help out MNM, and it backfired. Mark Briscoe his the Cut-Throat suplex for the win.

WINNERS: The Briscoes -***

SATURDAY NIGHT JERICHO

Jericho: WELCOME TO…. SATURDAY… NIGHT…. JERICHO!!!!! Tonight I am pleased to have on my show, an icon in the wrestling business. A man who made a HUGE impact in ECW. A man without whom our beloved ECW would have NEVER made it.

Styles: Is he talking about who I think he’s talking about??

Jericho: That’s right, boys and girls and Jericoholics of ALL AGES… JOEL GERTNER

Gertner: Well, Well, Well. It is a pleasure to be on your show, Chris Jericho. I’ll let you know that I am proud to call you my friend.

Jericho: I’ll tell you Joel, when I have the NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE around my waist, I won’t forget you. As a matter of fact, I’ll call you first.
Gertner: You know, Chris, I don’t doubt that. And it’s interesting that you bring up the fact that I’m a manager. Because tonight, in the ring, I saw some REAL talent. I saw the Briscoe Brothers beat the living hell out of MNM, and I would like right now to rescind my offer from MNM. I don’t need losers. I need winners. And The Briscoes are just that. Winners.

Jericho: So you’re saying that you want to manage the Briscoes?

Gertner: That is EXACTLY what I just said.

Jericho: And if they say no?

Gertner: They will ABSOLUTELY regret it.

MATCH #4: Lords Of The Ring vs. The Dudleys

Nick Dinsmore and Rob Conway work themselves to death against The Dudley Boys. Conway and D-Von start the match out. Conway works D-Von, who seems to be able to get the upper hand on Conway at every turn. D-Von throws Conway into the ropes and Conway holds on. D-Von misses his flying elbow attack, and Conway takes advantage by working the elbow. Conway tags in Dinsmore, who gets his face raked by D-Von. D-Von throws Dinsmore into the corner and tags in Bubba. Bubba kicks ass, finishing with the Bubba Bomb. Dinsmore plays face in peril, and gets the 3-D while Conway watches. D-Von stares down Conway while Bubba gets the pin

WINNERS: The Dudleys -***½

Backstage…

JOEL GERTNER grabs a cameraman. He wants a witness for what’s about to happen. He knocks on a door and MELINA opens it. She wants to ask him what the hell he meant by saying MNM were losers. He says that MNM lost to the Briscoes, and he’d rather have a team that wins than one that loses. Melina reminds Gertner that MNM lost that match because of Melina’s interference. So Gertner says “Oh, so YOU’RE the loser? Well what the hell is a team like Mercury & Nitro doing with a loser like you?” Melina bitch slaps Gertner, who in turn calls her a bitch. Melina slams the door on Gertner, who asks the cameraman if he got it on tape.

MATCH #5: Petey Williams vs. Adam Windsor

Petey plays this match as clean as possible. Windsor seems a bit confused, and Williams tells him that he wants to play fair. Windsor shrugs, and then attacks Williams. Petey keeps coming out on top, and Windsor is a bit frustrated. Windsor’s frustration gets the best of him and he ends up getting an atomic drop, which Petey uses to set up for the CANADIAN DESTROYER. It’s about this time that Jim Cornette comes marching out. Williams pushes Windsor aside, and tells the ref to get Cornette out of the ring. While the ref is busy with Cornette, Austin Aries runs in and uses the foreign object on Petey. He then pulls Windsor on top of Williams and slides out of the ring. Cornette hops off of the apron and walks away, allowing the ref to turn around and count 1-2-3.

WINNER: Adam Windsor (Thanks to Austin Aries) -**¼

BACKSTAGE…

Jim E Cornette is backstage, and bumps into Roddy Piper. Piper tells Cornette that he hopes Aries is ready next Sunday. Cornette asks for what? Piper tells him that Aries will take on Windsor for the NWA Midwestern X Title. Cornette looks both scared and happy at the same time. If that’s possible. Piper then tells Cornette that The Naturals better be ready next week, as they’ll take on the Briscoes on the first ever BREAKDOWN! On SpikeTV, and will then participate in a 4 team tag match for the NWA Midwestern Tag Titles next Sunday at “Into the Fire.” Cornette looks irate

MATCH #6: Chris Benoit vs. Matt Hardy

Benoit starts out with his usual aggressive offense. Hardy can’t handle it and rolls outside the ring to gather himself. Benoit yells at him and demands he get back in the ring, but Matt shakes his head and asks Benoit “How stupid do you think I am?” Matt bends over to catch his breath, and Benoit climbs out of the ring. Benoit grabs Hardy and throws him into the stairs. Benoit reaches to pick Hardy up, and Hardy pulls Benoit into the stairs head first. Hardy rolls Benoit back into the ring. Hardy rolls Benoit over and Benoit slaps on the Crippler Crossface. Jericho runs in to stop it, but Jeff Hardy jumps out of the crowd and makes the save. Hardy taps, and Benoit gets the win. Afterward, Jericho attacks Benoit, who delivers 3 german suplexes. The Hardys fight outside. It’s freaking Mayhem!

WINNER: Benoit -***¼

Big F'N Swigg - November 22, 2005 02:10 AM (GMT)
NWA Midwest presents BREAKDOWN 12-06-05

Backstage we see Tracy Smothers talking with Chris Hamrick, Hamrick seems to be trying to talk him out of something. Smothers seems angry, and Hamrick gives up and storms off.

Tazz: What’s got Hamrick so riled?

Match #1: Ace Steel vs. Bobby Roode

These two fought in a triple threat match with Samoa Joe for a chance at the NWA United States Title. They both lost, Roode first, then Steele. This match came as a result of Roode wanting to prove that he was just as tough as Steel. He presents a good argument in this match, but Steel is tougher than he seems. Roode seems surprised. The two clobber each other pretty well, and Steel picks up the win with The Twist of Cain. Roode attacks Steel after the match, and seems very frustrated.

WINNER: Ace Steel *½

Jeff Hardy is backstage-

A few weeks ago, Matt said he spent his entire life protecting me. Protecting the Charismatic Enigma. Well, he was right. There were times in our life where Matt Hardy had to watch out for his little brother. There were times where Matt got bruised or beaten because I got into some trouble. He bailed me out. I’m honestly thankful that there were times in which my brother saved my ass.

But what Matt doesn‘t know, is that I NEVER wanted it. Matt, just like he’s always done, stuck his nose in my business. My whole life, kids would whisper behind my back.. “Don’t mess with Jeff, his older brother will kick your ass!” “The girls only like him because they want his brother.” I spent my entire life living in your shadow. ALL MY LIFE.

And now, I’m going to take it all back. I’m going to show everyone that you aren’t .the better of the Hardys….

You’re just the first.

Match #2: The Naturals w/ Jim E. Cornette vs. The Briscoes

This match was made last Saturday by Commissioner Rowdy Roddy Piper as a teaser for the 4 team match this Sunday at “Into the Fire.” Cornette talks strategy with his team before the match, and the Briscoes go over the rope one at a time into the trio, making them regret their decision. The Briscoes throw Chase Stevens into the ring and the match starts. The two teams are evenly matched. So much so that neither team can get a serious advantage. That is until Jim E. Cornette slams Jay Briscoe with a Tennis Racket while the referee is holding Mark Briscoe back. Then the Naturals hit the Natural Disaster for the win.

WINNERS: The Naturals w/ Jim E. Cornette ***½

We go to a previously taped comment with RHINO

RHINO: Alex Shelley. I’m very glad that you think you respect me. But if you truly respected me, you would have stepped into that ring like a man and prevented me from losing. If you truly respected me, you wouldn’t get on the microphone and beg me to leave you alone, you’d call me out and meet me in the ring.

I’m telling you right now, you gutless son of a bitch. I want you one on one.

Match #3: The Dudleys vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Delirious

This is a squash. Total squash. But Delirious was funny.

WINNERS: The Dudley Boys.***
