Title: NWA Fed Year 2
Description: Legends Fed
Mad Dog - October 18, 2005 06:27 PM (GMT)
This game is of course brought to you by the people at
http://www.filsingergames.com/home.htmAs many of you remember this is the card game I play on quite a regular basis. It's simple and to the point and can be played by yourself.
There were some new signings over the summer that you'll find exciting. Steve Corino, Don Muraco, Ivan Koloff, Dennis Condrey and a lot of other guys signed up to get used in the game eventually.
Since I last stopped posting Harley Race managed to get the NWA World Title back from Buddy Rogers and the Midnight Express regained the tag belts from Antonio Inoki and Giant Baba. Bobo Brazil also unseated the Destroyer to win the United States Title
After that PPV a 32 man Gauntlet for the Gold tournament took place and Antonio Inoki stunned me by tearing through the competition to earn another shot at Race's title. The year of shows finished off at Starcade with Race and Inoki having the MOTY at ****3/4 as Inoki almost had Race beat on several occassions but Race managed to retain.
Bobo Brazil also finished the year with a successful title defense against Johnny Valentine, the Killer Bees lost their U.S. Tag Titles to the Valiants and Greg Valentine lost the Television Title to the Sheik.
I'll be back shortly to post the roster for you guys and to pick up the new year with Clash of the Champions II.
Scrooge McSuck - October 18, 2005 06:41 PM (GMT)
STEVE CORINO? Man, these guys must be desperate for new wrestlers to use.
Mad Dog - October 18, 2005 06:44 PM (GMT)
Nah, the attitude of the creator is that any wrestler willing to sign up is a welcomed addition to the game. Corino has his place in wrestling just like anyone else.
You ever get the set with the Midnights in it Scrooge?
Scrooge McSuck - October 18, 2005 06:45 PM (GMT)
But it's called "Legends of Wrestling", isn't it? Steve Corino is as much of a legend as Barry Horowitz.
Mad Dog - October 18, 2005 06:47 PM (GMT)
Never rag on Horowitz. The pat on the back shall always be remembered.
Scrooge McSuck - October 18, 2005 06:49 PM (GMT)
OK, make that Reno Riggins... unless he has done something important other than being stalked by a loser kid from New Joisey.
Mad Dog - October 18, 2005 06:50 PM (GMT)

Mad Dog - October 22, 2005 05:25 PM (GMT)
I'll also be adding a second show (Worldwide) after the Super Brawl PPV. It'll be a 4 or 5 match show and just be squash matches. The other version of this game has jobber cards and I'll just bring them in and give them generic names. The main events to Worldwide might be mid-carders taking on each other. There won't be any angles on the show either unless wrestlers interfere in someone's matches.

The Terrible Turk
If you're wondering about the Terrible Turk read this:
| QUOTE |
THE TERRIBLE TURK He was Europe's 350-pound wrestling champ a little over two generations ago. His name was Yussif, but people called him the Terrible Turk because of his massive size and awesome strength. After he won the championship in Europe, he sailed to the United States to contend with our champ - Strangler Lewis - a much smaller man who weighed just a shade over 200 pounds.
Strangler Lewis had a simple plan for defeating his opponents. He'd put his arm around the neck of his competitor and cut off the oxygen at the Adam's apple. Many an opponent had passed out in the ring with Strangler's tactics. The problem Lewis had when it came to fighting the Terrible Turk was that the European giant didn't have a neck! He just went from his head down to those massive shoulders. In the ring, Strangler Lewis couldn't even get a hold, so it wasn't long before Yussif flopped Lewis down on the mat and pinned him.
After winning the championship, the Terrible Turk demanded that every bit of his $5000 prize money be given him in gold. After he shaped the championship belt around his vast, equator-like middle, he stuffed the gold into the belt and boarded the next ship back to Europe. He was elated because not only did he possess America's glory, but he possessed her gold as well. He had won it all - except immortality!
Yussif set sail on the SS Bourgogne. In the middle of the Atlantic, it sank! The Terrible Turk went over the side with his gold still strapped around his waist. The added weight was too much for Yussif, and he sank like a heavy anchor before crew members could get to him with lifeboats. He was never seen again! http://www.brfwitness.org/Bread/turk.htm

Mad Dog - February 22, 2006 10:20 PM (GMT)
Ok, so here's the deal. The current set just came out and with the additions of Rude, Muraco, Zybszko and DDP there's a real log jam of upper mid carders coming in at once. So there's probably going to be a lot of boring shows as I'm establishing everyone. So here's the deal.
I'm in about August timeline wise. When I hit January I'm splitting my federation into 3 territories plus Japan doing tours. So when I get to that point probably in late March early April I'll start a new topic and start posting shows again.
The territories are going to be the AWA, ECW and Mid-South. All Japan will represent the tours. The champions you currently see will become floating champions and will come into every territory on a rotating basis. Japan will probably see less frequent visits. There will also be a Junior Heavyweight Championship added before this split occurs. Each territory will of course have it's own titles.
As far as talent goes. There will be an annual talent trade. There will also be temporary talent exchanges and guys jumping territories when contracts expire.
Each territory will have around 25 featured stars so this will mean that there will probably be a lot of squash matches. There will be 2 super shows a year where the territories come together. Every territory will probably have a big card every other month.
Just a heads up for you.
