Should this "backdoor pilot" have been picked up, or is it better left where it is, festering in limbo? In all of the DVD updates out there involving the TV movies and Crusade, there is never any mention of LOTR, is there a reason for that? I thought it could have been better, but it was still superior to some of the tripe included in S5 of its grandparent show B5.
Why is LOTR the forgotten "bastard" child of the family?
Can anyone (Angel?) enlighten me?
LOTR will be (according to JMS), be getting an individual release of it's own at some point. It was originally due to be released on DVD over here shortly after it aired in the States. Once the numbers were in however and it didn't get picked up it got shelved indefinitely.
As to the movie itself, it was ok. Nothing special, and there were a few bits that had you
It wasn't as good as Crusade.
I agree it wasn't that bad, neither was it that good. Personally I was disappointed that it wasn't set aboard a white star ship but thinking about it afterwards, you can hardly be stealthy, collecting info & such like with such a distinctive ship.
For me the worst part was the weapon system with the girl kicking and punching to fire the weapons system aboard the Valen (was it called that?). That idea just didn't w**k for me. :(
