Locke, Ben and Hurley trek into the jungle in search of Jacob's cabin, while a flashback to Locke's past suggests his arrival on the island was predestined. Frank Lapidus returns to the freighter with the murderous Keamy and his men and tries to force Michael to repair the ship's damaged engine. But Captain Gault helps Sayid escape on a raft, and head back to the island to warn the other castaways.

Well I think I’m just going to give up trying to work out what’s going on and just enjoy the ride. :)

Can’t work out sort of ‘game’ Ben and Widmore are involved in.
Don’t know how the guy who was part of Ben’s team ( and I think recruited Juilet ) can have visited Locke as a child without having aged at all.
And no idea what’s going on with Jack’s father.

:ponder:

Very creepy seeing Claire in the shack like that :ph43r: and I worry for Desmond as I fear he’s in more danger on that boat rather then the island. :(

Another really good episode.

I think Widmore had something to do with Dharma, so wants revenge on Ben for killing them off and wants the island back.

No one knows how that Alpert guy hasn't aged, he was the same age in Ben's flashback as a child as well, he did also recruit Juliet. I have a feeling it has something to do with the islands healing properties.

Jacks dad still confuses me - is he still dead and Jacob taking his form or has the island revived him so he can do the islands bidding. Seeing Claire in the cabin with Christian and the way she was speaking made me think she might be dead now as well.

I think the people on the boat are in danger as well. I do hope Desmond survives, so he can be reuinted with Penny. Michael should get blown up - i wonder if that would kill him, seeing as he can't die. I have a feeling Jin might get killed on the boat, but i hope not.

Definitely agree it was a very good episode, can't wait for the finale, but then don't want another 8 month wait for more episodes.

Was he actually John's father - and do you think he might also be Ben's real father? I just wonder as John and Ben seem to argue like brothers, opposites equally strong although Ben knows how to play John.

I am thinking that Claire might be dead  that would explain her father's leading her away? still not sure.

Interesting theory re Locke and Ben Alex.

I think it's fairly safe to say that Alpert will be heavily involved with the story going forward, and once again it plays into the 'time' issue that underpins the series.

Yes, has Alpert really NEVER aged, or can he or the island somehow control time. My head hurts

Well we already know that time operates differently on the island than it does back in the real world. What's not quite so clear yet, is how Alpert's obviously able to manipulate it to the extent that he doesn't age.

:fear: I thought Claire was dead too.

What interested me was the flashback with Locke as a boy, choosing the knife as belonging to him. Was this the wrong answer and he was meant to pick the magazine symbolising ownership of the island?

At the end though, all I could think about was how to move the island. Surely its not on wheels?

:ponder:
