No More Mr. Nice Guy

House encounters a patient who is too nice for his own good, which is a bigger problem than his emergency room diagnosis; and House competes with Amber for Wilson's attention.

Discuss. :)

It's great that HOUSE is back after the extended hiatus. I don't know if that has skewed my perception of this episode.

This first episode following the writers strike starts, funnily enuf, on the picket line. The nurses are on strike. And the husband of one winds up in House's care becuz he presented with "niceness". ("Is he Canadian?" House asks.)

Meantime, Wilson is being fought over by House and his new girlfriend. (Did I tell you I like Wilson's new girlfriend?)

A goodly amount of Cameron, Forman and Chase in this episode. The usual amount of snide remarks. And good acting by the guest stars.

[Edit] I meant to give extra points to Kal Penn who really excels when his character isn't playing the bumpkin but given something intelligent to do. I'm getting used to Peter Jacobson (Taub) in this role but he was much more fun in the short-lived IN JUSTICE as the lively, yamulke-wearing forensic specialist that the agency occasionally consulted.

BTW, I had a doctor's appointment the following day and I asked the two young doctors whether they watched the show. One said he saw a couple episodes but both complained about the show's license with medical facts and practice.

Aw, feel better soon. :)

Unless it was just a check-up, in which case, you get 2 doctors ?

It was a checkup and they were interns or something like that who did the bulk of the checkup.

I`m now imagining that if you get the sniffles, you get a crack team of House-type specialists leaping into action.

house fighting with Amber over wilson   , cuddy once again having to play judge and :lmao: at the two of them changing the bed at the end of the episode

nice to have a bit more scenes with chase and cameron, house playing his team thinking they can make him nicer

an interesting patient and i like the way they show that the future might not be fantastic for the couple (who doesn't like ketchup? ) after the husband has been cured

Great episode; Amber and House fighting over custody of Wilson. :lmao:

Nice contrast between Amber standing up to House and the members of House`s team being manipulated by him.

Oooh, is this the end of Cameron and Chase`s relationship ?! :o

prophecy girl - June 13, 2008 01:51 PM (GMT)
i am sure house knew wilson was gonna tell amber about house playing his team because he knew amber was gonna complain about house having wilson more than he should have

kind of fun but not sure if that arc can go really far (somehow i think Wilson is the one who gonna ask for the end of the whole thing because house and amber are too stubborn to let it go  )
