Stanley Kamel, well known for playing Dr. Charles Kroger on the hit USA series “Monk,” has died, Access Hollywood has learned.

Kamel was found dead in his Hollywood Hills home on Tuesday. He was 65.

Access Hollywood has learned Kamel died of a heart attack.

Kamel has appeared in numerous TV roles over the past three decades, including “The West Wing,” “Six Feet Under,” “Melrose Place,” “The Golden Girls,” “Days of Our Lives” and “Murder One.”

Pop culture fans will remember Kamel from his eight-episode arc in 1995 on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” as Tony Marchette, the father of Rebecca Gayheart’s character.

A rep for the USA network, which airs the Emmy-winning “Monk,” released the following statement to Access Hollywood:

“USA is deeply saddened by the news of Stanley Kamel’s passing. Stanley was an amazingly talented and extremely kind man, and an important member of the USA family. He will be sorely missed.”

How terribly sad.

Don`t know if you`ve seen ep 5.12 yet ( if you`re watching on Beeb2, that is, `cos it`s been on Hallmark ) but I was surprised that >>> Traylor Howard " Natalie " had a bump disguise in it and looking at her IMDB trivia she`s had a little boy. Aww. They either did a really good job of hiding her bump or I`m just not that observant.

I got the S1-S5 boxset - couldn't be arsed to wait around for the BBC to maybe show it one day when they'd run out of black and white westerns to show us!!

I knew she was pregnant. It's quite funny as they obviously didn't film them in the order that they're shown, as some weeks she's hiding the bump behind a large cardboard box, or somesuch, and the next week she's perfectly thin.
