Firefly, Meet Blu-ray. Fox officially announces Firefly on Blu-ray for release on . . . a date yet to be scheduled.

I'm all for supporting Firefly but I have my reservations on whether double dipping is going to help the cause. Fox aren't interested in continuing Firefly especially while Universal hold the movie rights, and any fox sales are not going to improve the likelihood of another movie. Especially while HI definition is a niche market.
Personally I am a long way from high-definition even though my TV is capable. I don't believe it's worth up grading at the time, regardless of my financial situation, I have a large collection of DVDs that need watching and re watching, not to mention the picture quality can still be superb...
Also until blu ray players can play multi-region DVDs I'm not interested.
