| Michael Dawson has returned to explain what has happened to him since he left the island with his son Walt and why he is now travelling under the alias Kevin Johnson. Meanwhile, Locke's camp is under threat of attack, so Ben urges his daughter Alex to flee, and Sayid finally confronts Ben's spy on board the freighter. |
Interesting to find out what happened to Michael, would have liked to see how he got back though. Annoyed that he can't die.
The captain didn't seem surprised when Sayid revealed Michael as the traitor, i imagine there's more we don't know about him.
It seems to be about Widmore vs Linus/The Others. So who do you think faked the crash - they both say it was the other. I think it is Widmore who faked the wreckage, because he wants the island and whatever power it has for himself, also Tom did have that evidence, but that could easily have been faked as well. I'm sure we'll find out sooner or later.
Rousseau dead - how will they explain her past? Karl dead - sorry don't really care, didn't really like him.
Even with the reveal about what happened to Michael all that time, didn't think the ep was that great. They needed more scenes on the island. Still a good ep, but the least fave the 8.
What do you think?

I think it is because it is very difficult to empathise with Michael. Interesting stuff regarding his not being able to die? and also the bomb thing with the flag? what on earth is Ben playing at.
I don't believe/trust Widmore or Ben so it could still be either of them in my mind. Did Ben intend for Karl and Rousseau to get killed? He is doing everything very strategically as if it is all being very carefully planned so I think he had a hidden motive in sending Alex and the others to the "safe" hideout.
Who killed them though?

I liked the disgust in Sayid's voice when he says to Micheal 'so what you're saying is that you're working for Ben' which given that we know that Sayid ends up doing exactly the same thing is more than a touch ironic. :)
I agree about finding it hard to have much empathy with Michael.

Definately have no empathy for Michael. Just glad they ended the writers strike otherwise that ep would have been the S4 finale - and that would've been a huge disappointment.
As for who shot Karl and Rousseau - not sure they're both dead - i was thinking the people on the frieghter, because we saw them with guns, the helicopter is gone and Alex used the "I'm Ben's daugther" to stop them shooting, so she thinks its them.
Then i thought how would they know exactly where Alex and co would be, which lead me to think Ben may be behind it to kill Karl and Rousseau, and sent them there so one of the others could kill them and keep Alex safe for Ben. Thinking of that i thought we haven't seen Mikhail since he kind of killed Charlie, maybe it was him, as he doesn't seem to be able to die either - any thoughts?
We're back to the Widmore vs Ben debate. I think too much.

I dislike the traitor Michael so much, it was very interesting to finally see what had become of him and Walt.. Glad he's suffered though.
Ben..you can never suss the guy out, so sneaky and everything..
