I start a new job next month and I'll need a laptop for it. The main requirements are lots of processing power and a large amount of RAM - things like big screen, FX card and HDD aren't so crucial, but obviously if a good one is on offer I'll take it.

The Dell Precision M90 on the Dell website is on offer for almost £700 less than RRP - I'd upgrade the processor to the Core2 Duo T7400 and put an extra 2Gb RAM in it, but other than that basically it's the default spec. It works out at £1117 inc. VAT and delivery which I think looks like a good deal. Anyone know of similarly specced laptops for the same money? Also, is it worth my while going for the T7600 processor or is £200 +VAT far too much of a ripoff?
