I don't think Channel Four know their arse from their elbow when it comes to Third Watch.
First they say they have the rights, then they say the rights have expired.

I wouldn`t hold my breath for C4 to show it ; they`ve had the rights for a couple of centuries now. <_<
Plus, I think they`d need to show Third Watch in a late night timeslot. :unsure:

Good news, wrote to FX yesterday and received the following reply:
Dear Maria
Third Watch season 6 will air on FX as soon as our license period starts on 27th August 2008 at 17:00, enjoy!

Just read on Digital Spy that the reason FX couldn't show S6 of Third Watch is that the rights were locked down by Channel Four.
SO. Four have had the rights all this time, but haven't shown the final series.
