Episode 4 Eggtown

Are the new arrivals here to help the castaways, or to harm them? Kate is desperate to get information from Locke's prisoner, but in the process she could jeopardise her relationship with him - and with Sawyer. Locke, meanwhile, wants to know more about the spy Ben claims he's planted on the newcomers' boat - but Ben's games are as frustrating as ever. And the final member of the "Oceanic Six" is revealed.

Hmm the Radio Times episode guide seem's to think the final member of the 'Oceanic Six' has been revealed but I only make that 5 - Jack, Kate, Sayid, Hurley and now Aaron which makes it 5 unless I'm missing something.

So the 'him' that Kate had to get back to in the S3 finale was presumedly Aaron.

And from Jack's testimony we've learned that part of their story is that only 8 people survived the crash. :ponder:

Another good episode. :)

Plus Locke going from gullable softie before the crash to murderous psycho now :o ok so he got shot but I'm really not sure what he will do next.

Not sure that I understand the Jack not wanting to be with Kate because of Aaron?

Good episode. Now we know what Jack was "sick of lying" about and who "him" in the S3 finale ending was. Still no more clues as to who's in the coffin.

RT is clearly wrong, or just cant count to 5.

More importantly, how does Kate have Aaron? Did she take him from Claire? Did Claire die? Or did she lie about being pregnant and just name her baby Aaron?

Liked the Jack/Kate scenes, so close but yet so far.

I think the reason Jack doesn't want to see Aaron is that he's too much of a reminder of what actually happened on the island before they got off. If Claire had died and Kate was looking after Aaron for her, i don't understand why he wouldn't want to be with her and Aaron, whether or not he knows that Aaron is his nephew. So that leads me to think Kate took Aaron from Claire.

Locke just seems to be getting more and more psycho every week, one week he hasn't got a clue what he's doing the next, he know exactly what he's doing.

Yes, the 'eight' survivors thing was interesting. Throws up all sorts of questions around Michael and Walt. If the 7th and 8th survivors are them, why isn't it the Oceanic 8? And if it's not them, then where are they? They were already supposed to have returned to civilisation.

TV Crazy - February 27, 2008 06:22 PM (GMT)
It's not the Oceanic 8 cos only 6 of them survived and got home - according to Jack's story. Maybe the last 2 of the Oceanic 6 are Michael and Walt, unless Aaron counts in which case, we're back to sqaure one.

I'm fairly sure that Aaron counts as one of the six, which leaves only one more. Most likely, either, as Alex summises, they slipped under the radar, or, they never really got home and are still on or around the island in the flash-forward timeline.

laughitupfuzzball - February 27, 2008 07:01 PM (GMT)
hmm perhaps two more did survive but managed to stay under the radar?

Crichton Kicks - February 27, 2008 07:45 PM (GMT)
Fairly sure that Aaron is one of the six, meaning that there's only one further person to be revealed. I think it's most likely that either as Alex summises, Michael and Walt slipped back home 'under the radar', or, they never really left the island, and they're still there or there abouts in the flash forward timeline.

Well going on last week's episode ( Sayid working for Ben ) I'm thinking Ben will somehow decide who does and does not get off the island and so while he appeared to let Micheal & Walt leave I doubt they really did as if they did they would be able to expose the truth about the Oceanic 6 which I doubt he would want.

I don't think Jack can face Aaron because of the guilt he feels for what happened to the rest of the survivors whether they died or were left behind. I also don't think Kate took Aaron from Claire either something happen's to Claire or when it becomes clear that Kate's getting off the island and Claire isn't she ask's Kate to take Aaron with her.

  :)

I like your idea of Ben deciding who gets to leave the island, does sound like a Lost twist. I wonder how he would decide, or what he would base it on. Could be to do with Jacobs list, Jack, Kate and Sayid were said not to be on Jacobs list, maybe that has something to do with who can stay and who can't.

Well, I just watched this ep and things would have been much clearer if I hadn`t thought that the baby was called Erin or Erp or something .

Poor you, it is confusing because most of the cast have different ways of pronouncing Aaron. Don't know how you heard "erp" though? At least you get it now.

I blame less than stellar hearing.
