Science-fiction crime drama series set in Cardiff. A victim of his newfound circumstances, Owen Harper believes he needs absolution. Will the lonely girl on the rooftop help him, or will it be a mission to retrieve an alien device that is proving more lethal by the second? And how far will Toshiko go to help him?

Written by Joseph Lidster
Directed by Andy Goddard (Countryside, Combat, To The Last Man, Adam, Dead Man Walking)

not sure what i was expecting: owen to find a way to be alive again ................... well ok, he did kind find a way to go on even if dead ................. or die once and for all and let martha get his job (not gonna happen :ermm: )

martha first episode was fantastic and have her took an active part in the investigation, and then the next episodes, she was just in the back doing medical stuff :ermm: still it was great to have her and :naughty: at the kiss at the end

owen telling his tale to suicide girl during the episode was quite good

not sure about alien artefact who might explode but in fact is a music box (not really clear about why there was an energy spike and why he was keeping the old guy alive :ermm: )

:lmao: @ jack congratulating owen for spending 36 mn underwater (bit of ianto there  )

i like the breaking in scene

:lmao: at ianto (and owen) when jack suggest that owen should be in charge of the coffee and then owen first attempt  and he and ianto have a good talk about change for ianto (even if ianto commented that "it was not like that" between jack and him :ermm: )

Another fantastic performance from Burn Gorman, and while I'm really glad they didn't go for the easy out of the Pulse turns him back to normal I'm not sure how long they can keep him in this state.

I'm guessing that this was S2's (much better) Random Shoes with someone outside of the Torchwood world being used to tell the story. Worked OK.

I just want to give Owen a hug . As he tells Jack "I get to die forever", they now have a character who is incredibly fragile and another who is invincible. His lashing out at everyone around him was both in character and understandable, and showed that his overriding emotion is lonliness as it's Ianto's relationship with Jack and Tosh's crush on Owen that get's the most venom in his rants.

I don't think it was a great idea to have the pheremone spray used in Owen's greatest hits at the start of the episode, especially since Burn Gorman has stated that he has had a lot of stick about it (the spray was a massive mistake imo but it wasn't Burn Gorman's fault).

 at Ianto's face when Jack suggests that Owen could make the coffees.

A fear of TinTin .

Owen has had three flats since the show started. This is most definetly different from the one we saw in Out of Time and his bedroom in Combat was on a much higher floor by the looks of it.

Not much of the rest of the team, but even less for JB to do. Wonder if this was filmed at the same time as Adam or is there going to be a Jack-centric episode coming up?

EVERYONE knows about Torchwood, this is getting beyond a joke now.

Dead!Owen has his own theme, and it's nicely used.

Is it in the Torchwood contracts that there must be a snog when saying goodbye to Captain Jack  .

just wonder if the old millionaire wanted to hear tale(s) about alien(s) (and gee he did know a few thing about torchwood and their relationship) why was there so much security around him (apart to give a reason to sent owen  )?

:ermm:

This week's making ofs are a chat with Burn Gorman as they do the prosthetics for the finger breaking sequence, a look at them filming underwater, a chat with Christine Bottomley (Maggie) and Freema's last day.

The casefiles are a newpaper report on Henry Parker, a newspaper report on Maggie's crash, Ianto's report on Henry Parker's recent alien purchases and a scan of the mansion.

Jack, Gwen and Tosh have updated inboxes.

Thought it was a great episode; terrific Burn Gorman performance.

I liked the way it was intercut with the story of the suicidal girl. :)

Yikes to the finger-bendy-back bit. :fear: :x

Still trying to figure out just how Parker knew so much about us, and how he amassed such a large collection of alien devices without our knowledge.

 C'mon everyone knows about Torchwood now

With spaceships crashing into Big Ben, cyber men taking over the world and the Christmas invasion how can anybody in the Dr Who/Torchwood universe not believe in aliens.

GWEN COOPER: The thing is, I just don't understand ...

JACK: (interrupts) No, I tell you what I don't understand. You're gonna rattle on with that, "How can this be true?" kinda shtick. What's it gonna take for you people? If you want evidence of aliens, how about that great spaceship hovering over London on Christmas Day? What about the battle of Canary Wharf? A Cyberman in every home!

GWEN COOPER: My boyfriend says it's like a sort of terrorism. Like they put drugs in the water supplies - psychotropic drugs, causing mass hallucinations and stuff.

JACK: Yeah, well your boyfriend's stupid.

GWEN COOPER: Oh, you've met him?
