Great episode but I'm even more confused. Not sure if the flash forwards are reality especially after seeing Hurley sectioned again.

Is there really an Oceanic 6 or is it some kind of experiment or something unexplainable?

Which side would you choose? can we trust Ben?

Hurley's "where's Charlie" was very sad

You know it hadn't even occured to me that the flash forwards might not be reality. Hmmm I'll have to think about that one. :ponder:

The twist with the flash fowards at the end of the last season really saved the show for me and I'm back being very intrigued I just hope I stay that way. :)

Since seeing the last episode of the previous season I have always been dubious whether the flash forward was a reality or not.

I am interested to find out why if Hurley went with Locke how he is suddenly one of the Oceanic 6? I guess we will find out in due course.

So, we know Jack and Hurley came off the island, and also Kate (if last seasons finale is to be believed), I wonder who it was who died? I can't remember who it was who went to visit but the coffin implied it was someone the losties knew.

I'm fairly sure that the flash forwards are reality.

With the arrival of the freighter the losties clearly have the ability to get off of the island at last. It'll be interesting to see how it transpires that only six get off the island though. From the direction the show took in the first episode I think it's fairly obvious that at least some of the Oceanic Six, if not all, will return to the island at some point.

I have to agree with the point made above. The flash forwards in the Season 3 finale probably saved the show. It's given the show a whole fresh narrative that it desperately needed.

Loved Hurley's 'cannonball' in this first episode, and I was surprised to find that I actually missed Charlie :(

Ditto with the points everyone`s made. :)

I watched the last season half-heartedly, missed bits of a couple of eps and wasn`t bothered, and saw some eps while leafing through the paper - I`m not exactly agog at the new eps, but I`m intrigued enough to keep watching. :)

Hee to Charlie slapping Hurley  .
