In 1999, an American doctor on a 1 year stint as a the physician for a research station in Antarctica discovered a lump in her breast. She performed the biopsy herself and eventually was brought back to the US by a risky rescue flight thru the stormy Antarctic winter.
That's no doubt the inspiration for this fun episode of HOUSE with Mira Sorvino as a psychiatrist/doctor at an Antarctic research station. (FYI: psychiatrists must first of all be trained physicians.) Thanks to technology, she can be examined and diagnosed via high-definition connection. This comes in handy for House when she has to remove her clothes when examining her lymph nodes.
With a name guest star like Sorvino, the role is even stronger than the typical strong female role found in House, with much more screen time. And it's worth it. The overall effect is not great. But, it's memorable.
Even better is the revelation of Wilson's new girlfriend. :yahoo:
