Title: Wildfire
Outta Sight - February 3, 2008 08:15 PM (GMT)
I'm going to guess again and say that no-one else is watching this
It's on the Trouble channel, daily, at 8pm and, in only a week, it's fast become one of my favourite programmes to watch
I did some checking and see that it's already run to 4 seasons and is classed as a returning show for a fifth
It's about a girl with a troubled past who connects with a horse during a prison sentence in a juvenile camp and, when she's released, the volunteer offers her a job on the family ranch he works for.
She's built a relationship with a previous racehorse, Wildfire (hence the title) and the whole business is losing money so they hope that this girl, Kris, and the horse might be the answer to their problems.
It's not amazingly exciting or glamorous or anything but it's just.....nice :) I love it and hope Trouble will continue to show the entire series'

Good guess. :ph43r:
The IMDB Clicky says it has DS9`s Nana Visitor in it. :)
Thanks Katie, shall tune in to an ep. :D

I've never watched DS9 but, yes, Nana Visitor plays the owner of the ranch :) I am so addicted :ph43r: I don't know why but it really has appealed to me  It's the first show I tune into every day when I start my tv watching
The hefty helping of male totty doesn't hurt either :ph43r:
little pixie - February 8, 2008 07:53 PM (GMT)
I taped Monday`s ep and still haven`t watched it.
What is this male totty of which you speak ?
Outta Sight - February 18, 2008 02:54 PM (GMT)
 2 of said totty can now be seen in my new avatar :D
I am a junkie :ph43r: I've just purchased a cd (I never listen to music) by a band I've never heard of and has to be imported from the US where they probably haven't been heard of either  And purely because it contains the theme song to Wildfire  :ph43r:
I tell you, I'm a sad, sad case but I am so hooked I can't help it. I'm devastated to learn that it's now been cancelled after 4 seasons
And I shall never look at another man again now I have discovered Ryan Sypek (he plays Junior in the show). Everyone else pales into comparison :snooty:

Bless you.
I still haven`t watched the ep I taped; I`m so behind with my TV watching, those tapes are really piling up. :ph43r:
<< Hopes desperately that it`s not nearly as good as Katie says `cos otherwise I`m sunk >>

I don't know whether watching a random episode will give an accurate view of the show, maybe you have to watch it right from the start  Mind you, they do give quite a thorough "previously on" beforehand so........
It may not be that brilliant but, for some reason, it has totally hit home with me (as one can probably tell from all the gushing  ) and knocks everything else out of the water now.
Seasons 1 and 2 are available on dvd so they will be purchased at some point in the future :D

Oooh, give us a squeak if Trouble start showing it from the beginning again. ;)
Outta Sight - February 19, 2008 06:56 PM (GMT)
I promise, squeakage will be given  I just hope they show all seasons  :tear:
As I said, I intend to buy the dvds for my collection at some point so, push comes to shove, you can always borrow them at some point far, far down the line when you've got less than 1000 viewing hours already stacked up :lmao:

there are a few trailers on youtube and it does look great
Outta Sight - February 20, 2008 07:21 PM (GMT)
Oooooooooooooh, another possible convert
They run ads for it all the time on Trouble giving a total oversight of what the show is about and, I have to admit, I still watch them even though I'm actually watching the show itself :ph43r: (I told you I was addicted   )
It's not glamorous or gory or anything specific, it's just..........nice

Ally: "This is a little embarrasing to admit but I really enjoyed seasons one & two of Wildfire on Trouble and I was wondering if and when they were going to show seasons three & four & do you know if it has renewed in the US? It isn't on your US TV Show Status list!"
Neil: The current plan is to repeat seasons one and two in their entireties again from next month, with subsequent seaons following at some point in the future. No word on a fifth season from ABC Family in the US - at present, the Tube Talk list only features shows on broadcast networks, not cable channels - although it's very likely to end with season four. |
