Title: Amazon Refund

Fangy and grrr - January 9, 2008 05:05 PM (GMT)
Did you know that if you buy something from Amazon and the price of that item drops within 30 days they will refund you the difference ? So if you bought your Christmas presents from Amazon and the prices have been slashed in the January sales you could make some real money back.

This is a link to the <Moneysavingexpert> article I got this from.

Haven't tried it myself but from reading some of the posts in the thread Amazon aren't being too strict on the 30 days so it might not be too late.

:)

Coo ! Thanks Tom. :)

EDIT - All of mine have stayed the same or increased in price.

I`d have felt mean claiming anyway, `cos with one of my Xmas orders , I was happy for it to be sent for free, and they emailed me to say they`d send it by super-expensive-delivery at no cost to me, just so I`d get it in time. Bless `em.

Just had a look at my orders and I think I'd only make about £1:70 back  so I don't think I'll bother but if anyone bought a load of box sets or something this could be handy.

It`s worth knowing for the future  ; maybe the thing to do is to place an order, and then replicate the same order and keep it in the shopping basket. That way, whenever you click on your basket over the following month, you get a message up if there`s been a price change. :)

Great stuff. I have just claimed £1. I feel the principle applies more here than anything. sk

I had heard that before but I always forget about it until I read someone post about it. :(

mind you I don't buy much off Amazon which isn't already heavily discounted in the first place, so I doubt I personally would make much savings from any potential refund.
