So I'm trying to get a copy of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games and what chance do I have at the shops? The answer is none.

Fair enough the consoles are very scarce, but this shouldn't really be an issue with the games.

And this isn't a new thing either, even the Gamecube ( a failure to some) had this problem that when a new game came out there just wasn't enough copies to go around. Resident Evil 4 and The Twin Snakes come to mind.

The problem also presents itself online the games are out of stock at most retailers and even zavvi.co.uk, say it despatches in 3 to 7 days. But now I've ordered they send me a message stating its been 'backordered' i.e. they don't have a copy but are waiting for some from the suppliers.

Thing is Nintendo are really playing into the hands of the second hand market and ebayers. The game should go for 30 quid. They are selling for £50 + on ebay!!!

I tried to buy it last week and ended up getting Mario Party 8 instead <_< Lots of posters and empty cases up though :rolleyes:

I can't understand why the UK always get the worst deal :(
