| At the end of Last of the Time Lords, a ship crashes through the side of the TARDIS, mid flight, and a life ring bearing the name 'Titanic' is thrown towards the Doctor - what on Earth is going on? |

Well. Got to say, Vic and I absolutely loved it
Easily the best of the Christmas specials so far, and a fine episode under any circumstances.
The majority of the guest cast was very good, and Minogue was thoroughly charming as Astrid. She'd have made a fine companion, but the story was all the better for her demise.
Absolutely loved the CGI Titanic, what a fantastic imagine, the ship in orbit over the Earth.
It struck me a couple of times how the movie was probably more similar to The Poseidon Adventure than Titanic, but that's a very minor gripe. All in all, a fantastic adventure.

I also enjoyed it, and when Astrid asked the Doctor if she could travel with him I was saying "yes yes" to the tv screen. Alas I shall have to put up with Catherine Tate.
I quite liked how when they went down to London there was noone to be seen, keeping the whole Christmas specials in line with the story we have been following since Dr Who restarted again.
I was wondering how Astrid would be engaged with the Doctor in this story, what with her name being an anagram of Tardis, it didn't pan out as I had expected, but the story unfolded quite well I thought.
And the trails for the next season:

Really enjoyed it, definately the best Christmas special. I hadn't worked out Astrid was an anagram for Tardis.
It would have been good if he could have saved Astrid, she would have made a great companion, but the trailer made Catherine Tate look fun in Doctor Who, as i didn't find her Christmas special that entertaining.
Might even watch Torchwood, having seen James Marsters in the trailer.

I wept.
Well, very nearly any way.
How the hell can R.T.D. call himself a gay man when the first opportunity he gets to work with Kylie, he kills her :tear: :tear:
Ah well, all the same it was a brilliant story. Though, like James, Tony and I spotted the Poseidon references all the way through and laughed at each one (what would Christmas be without the Poseidon adventure?)
Good news for Kylie, she has now made up for, and been forgiven for that godawful street fighter movie she was in
