A mysterious drone crashes into Atlantis, indicating that the Replicators may have found the city. But when Elizabeth Weir appears, the team realizes that the probe is just a part of a bigger mystery.

I enjoyed this ep, it was nice to see Weir again, even if it wasn't the real Weir. I still don't believe she's gone forever. Nice to have a mention of Carson as well.
The cliffhanger is interesting, no idea what they're gonna do next.

The two McKay's were quite funny working together, i liked the meeting between the 2 Atlantis teams.

I was surprised Carter wasn't involved, i know she wouldn't have been copied, but surely as the leader she would have had some say on the subject. Isn't that 4 episodes she hasn't been in now. Maybe she'll have more input in the second half. Not that i mind, because i don't think she fits in brilliantly, i'd still rather have Weir in charge.

Does anyone else feel S4 has been going downhill since Lifeline? It's getting quite depressing losing Carson and Elizabeth and the Athosians.

Can't agree I'm afraid. Season 4 for me has been a very positive step up in quality from the previous year. Carter's far from my favourite character from SG1, but I still prefer her to Weir. Don't get me wrong, I don't actively dislike the character, but Carter's got a lot more charisma than Weir, and Higginson's not a great lead. For me, one of the main problems over the earlier seasons was the unbalanced cast. Rainbow Sun Franks, Tori Higginson, were IMO, not great. Joe Flanigan and David Hewlett were, and still are superb, as is Rachel Luttrell. The introduction of Jason Momoa as Ronon was a masterstroke, and now with the introduction of Tapping and Staite, the cast's just about right. In fact, the only character that I was really saddened to see leave was Paul McGillion who I thought was superb.

Re: the episode itself, not bad. A strong concept, despite the comments above, it was nice to see a return for Higginson/Weir, and the story moved along quite well, taking the wider story that bit much further. The closing scenes were quite amusing, even as the screen faded to black. Sets up the rest of the season quite nicely.

Re: Carter, Amanda Tapping, from memory, is signed up for 13 of the 20 episodes. Given that she'll probably be quite prominent at the season's end, I think we'll probably have her missing for a few more episodes early into the second half of the season.

Still, fear not. From the sounds of it, I think you might enjoy this season's finale ;)

I didn't know she was only doing 13. She is a good character, i just feel she's better suited to being on SG-1, all that science and knowledge going to waste. Would like to see some more funny moments between her and McKay, but not too many.

Don't get me wrong, i'm enjoying S4, maybe i've spoilt myself too much for the first half and this ep has made me look forward to what's coming next in the battle with the Wraith/Replicators. I'll take your word for it that i'll enjoy the season finale, but i always do so there's no surprise there, but i'll try not to read too many spoilers

I prefer Season 4 so far although I would like to see more of Sam on screen :) nice to see Weir and the team's reactions.
