Wonder where the weirdness started that Angel's visit was only a fantasy sequence? Makes perfect sense to me at face value...

i suppose like with joyce (normal again), she needed someone close to tell that she was strong enough to deal with whatever was coming the day after (i guess in her mind, angel was the one knowing her the most)

So you don't think it was a real visit? :ponder:

after his epiphany (in angel), i kinda doubt angel would have look or talk like the one visiting in forever

buffy and dawn dealing with their mother death. having trouble to grief and to accept that someone dear is definitly gone. needed a bit of dark magic to finally blow the dam and talk/argue about the issue. during the all episode it look like dawn is the one wanting the most joyce back but when finally there is a possibility that "joyce" is behind the door, buffy is the one running to open it and breaking down and dawn showing a little bit of maturity by destroying the spell and hugging her sister.

it look from this episode that Willow's approach to magic becomes much more different. She means well, but doesn't have Tara's maturity when it comes to dabbling with the forces of darkness.

as much i have doubt about angel being there or being part of buffy "fantasy", i do like the return of angel/buffy theme score. giles grieving by listening to the same track he and joyce were listening in band candy.

spike bringing flowers for joyce without leaving a card tell just how much he like joyce (and xander even if not liking spike did seem to realised that), now him helping dawn with the resurection spell <_< at least we got to be introduced to the doc :fear:

still after the body, this episode seem to have been rushed, the funeral scene a bit too short to let the place for the sister's issue with their mother death.
