but for the little i know about issue one, i am just wondering about the lack of mention of LA hell in buffy or is the actions taking place in an alternative world? i mean the scoobies are mostly somewhere in scotland (and well cleveland for faith before giles gave her the job) and had a quick visit near the hellmouth but i think if there were legions of demons in LA or LA gone missing, the US army should have better thing to do than going after buffy and co, not to mention a few slayers having been sent to investigate :unsure: :ponder:

So Wolfram and Hart sent the whole City to Hell just to punish Angel? That seems like a bit of overkill (or would that be underkill in their case?) to me.

I loved the fact that almost all of the S5 cast have appeared so far (even a couple of the guests/new arrivals got face time)

I hope that the Dragon gets more time devoted to his story :lol:

I hadn't even realised till now that the Buffy and Angel comics have different publishers...also odd.

And I'm an out-and-proud Wesleycentric, so what I say is: hmmm. :ponder:

not sure when the angel comics started but it might due to the fact the two series were on different channel and once the deal between joss and publishers was done, they had no way to change it :unsure: :shrug:

OK, the simple answer as to why the books come from different companies is...

They both started out at Dark Horse comics (The original Angel books that ran during S1 and S2 of the show were published by Dark Horse) but the Angel books never sold as well as the Buffy series did, so Dark Horse let their rights slip away. IDW saw the potential and bought the comic rights to Angel et al and have had a fair amount of success with them so far.

'Angel: After the Fall' #2 and #3 - Preview Pencil Panels. Chris Ryall gives fans a treat in the wake of the excellent news about 'Angel: AtF' going to a third printing. Spoilers are minor IF (and only IF) you've read Issue 1.

but i thought wolfran and hart was destroyed after the death of marcus (i mean just for the earthquake :unsure: ) or is it just the source (little girl, big cat, ....) who took the form of wesley (but then it can't think like wesley, can it? :ponder: )

I'd been thinking that Wesley could be technically dead (Joss obviously hasn't got round to reading my thoughts on the subject), but unablke to move on due to his W and H contract.

As I know he can't be dead really, this MIGHT start to annoy me - in a good way.

i don't think anyone (ok but angel and gunn) signed anything to get the LA branch (and i doubt wesley would after he tried to destroy lylah contract) :unsure: :ponder:

Hadn't thought of it that way- but do you see the big nasties releasing his paycheck unless he'd signed something?

as much the ghostly wesley is interesting, i just hope it wasn't what joss or else were thinking to do if they had been a season six on TV

vampire gunn in denial (huge issue with angel it seem too)

angel and spike usual "friendly" relation :rolleyes: (apart this time, illyria seem to be playing bodyguard to her "pet" :unsure: )

once again, the drawing are a bit confusing (if not difficult to read), i also recieved spike shadow puppet omnibus issue and it kind of look better (and funnier but that's kind of easy :lol: )

last page: angel said that he is not a vampire anymore :blink: who sired gunn then? and why does he blame angel for it? :ponder: still it look like angel is still good with the fighting (but not the healing), does that mean the shansu prophecy happened after he killed the wolfran and hart people (didn't he actually just posponed the apocalypse?)

I'm getting more and more twitchy about the small portions of story dished out in comics. Anyone else feel this?

Spike could have sired Gunn on general submarine principals.

And where's dead Lindsey? Doing dead Wesley's filing I suppose. Ho hum.

quick first look, huge battle (would never happen on screen, especially the dragon vs T-rex fight)

a cliffanger before the standaline issues :ermm:

once again, characters are there, you can nearly hear them but the drawings <_<

have a quick look on issue 6 (before putting in back on shelf at the store :whistling: ), who agree to let print the comic? do joss have anything to say on the angel comic? lorne bit was hideous :fear: :ermm:

average guy who spent his time announcing the end of the world and his happyness when it does happen and can't understand why people react badly :rolleyes:

in a whole, quite an interesting issue :)

love ghost wesley trying to divert the attention of the bad guys :lol:

vamp gunn logic is strange, he want angel dead but he want to be the one killing him, was he really kicking (dusting here) anyone disagreeing with him when he was in charge (war zone)? :ermm:

i like the sneaky way angel tricked the hell lords to get a (to go baoum) scepter to help him win the battle, and make it happen while having an argue with connor :lol:

the ending with illyria and wesley body was also great :tear:
