Title: Season 3 - Michelle Pace
Description: From Episode 6 and onwards....

Michelle - July 22, 2004 09:23 AM (GMT)
Thought I'd be safer to start a new thread seeing as the other one is marked eps 1-5 specifically.

Anyway, this post would have been to cover eps 6-9 but episode 9 had one of those "now I've got to see the beginning of the next episode" cliffhangers at the end, which ended up being "oh, I might as well watch the whole thing now". (yes, I watched a lot of Alias last night, and didn't get to bed til 2am )

Yay! Will! And thanks everyone for keeping schtum about his reappearance when I speculated on it yesterday. :D And aww, Will finally got what he'd been waiting for. ;) What is it with all the guys shaving off their hair though? Thankfully Vaughn is unscathed. :)

So things are hotting up nicely. Lauren shows herself to be not competely heartless, but I did cheer when she appeared in Syd's dream and it seemed she might be a bad guy - yay, thats the way to get rid of her, I thought! :D But it was short-lived. :( Anyway, at the moment, she's slightly up in my estimation, but depending what happens, that might change. :)

Glad that Lindsey is dead - evil git. But will that mean that Lauren becomes the head of the NSC, or will some other cretin take over, I wonder...

Quite nice to see Merrin Dungey again even if she was playing alter ego Alison. But is she dead now, or will she survive yet again? (don't answer, please :)) Syd didn't seem too bothered about checking her vital signs. I was also surprised she just left Sark unconscious without either killing him or notifying someone of his whereabouts so he could be picked up. Although I guess the latter wasn't really possible cos of her supposedly being held by the covenant.

I wonder if I'll finish watching the whole season before Bravo finish showing it?

Somehow I think you'll have finished it before they show the next episode, M

I loved the Will episode. It just lightened the whole atmosphere to see him back. It was quite tense when he pulled the gun on Syd, you could see how the previous events had affected him. When he realised it really was her you could almost feel his disbelief and relief. His Mick Jagger accent was hilarious. And it was good to see that he could handle himself.

As for him and Syd... My God, who next? Marshall? Dixon?

Please no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will rocked, literally! So good to see him after so long, Syd needed a friend to help her B)

Once you start watching Alias you just cant stop. I was given two tapes containing 8 eps in all, and I couldnt stop watching them!

Margot C - July 22, 2004 11:48 AM (GMT)
LOL! Syd/Marshall! How funny

Another episode down, and AAARGHH, Lauren is evil after all!!! But kind of yay, as well. That means I'm supposed to not like her now. :D

And glad that the mystery of the two missing years has been solved. :)

And almost everyone that I've said I missed, has now made an appearance. Francie (kinda), Will, Kendall. All I need now is a reappearance from Irina.

Anna - July 22, 2004 07:20 PM (GMT)
I'm confused - which episode are you up too? :(

Michelle - July 22, 2004 07:29 PM (GMT)
Just seen ep 11. Bravo is on ep 18 or 19 isn't it?

Either way, I hope I haven't spoilt you in any way. :(

no you haven't I just was wanting to be careful what I said to you.

Episode 11 is a big episode for filling in the gaps. It also has a few things to think about. The bit with Julia doing her thing in front of the panel of people. When I watch this I went straight to Bravo +1 to watch that scene again. 2 reason, 1 to look at the people in the line up and 2 to listen to the voice. I don't think I've ever done that before with a TV show but thank God for +1

Michelle - July 22, 2004 08:08 PM (GMT)
Ah, thank god for that.

I've just rewatched that scene from ep 11. I neither recognised the voice, nor any of the people in the lineup.

And also now just seen ep 12. Isabella rossellini (sp?) looks so scary with short hair! :fear:

Anyway, time for another one then. Its great when you don't have to rely on tv schedules to see the next episode.

Margot C - July 23, 2004 08:15 AM (GMT)
I don't know if we ever find out who the people are in that scene....the voice certainly sounds like Quentin Tarantino, but if it is him (and if Sloane is there too as has been suggested) then it doesn't make sense that we're not told. If Syd was only pretending to be Julia, she would have recognised both of them and would definetly have told Kendall, and he would then have told her (and us) in the episode.

Ah! That is good detective work Margot! I think Katya's kinda scary too! Why cant she be more like her sister?

Anna - July 23, 2004 08:29 AM (GMT)
That's very true but it was QT's voice, don't know about Sloane but it certainly could have been him. I guess they made a mistake in the story because Sydney would have definately told Kendall about Cole.

Margot C - July 23, 2004 08:40 AM (GMT)
I think Irina is very scary. She could probably kill you just by casually considering doing it. Heh. Poor Syd, growing up...such scary parents

Do you post at SD-1, Flamingo?

Michelle - July 23, 2004 08:41 AM (GMT)
I can see in hindsight that it probably was Tarantino. Six more episodes down last night and I've seen that ep with him in it. I was going to watch that scene yetagain with the Covenant lineup to check, but couldn't be bothered in the end. I can only assume the lineup was either too shrouded in shadow, or maybe they were behind a one way mirror that I didn't see or something. Else, you're right. It doesn't make sense why Syd wouldn't have told Kendall.

About Sloane - when I looked at that scene again after Anna said she thought it worth rewatching, I paused it on the side view of the lineup, and I did kinda think one of them looked like Sloane's chin, but didn't want to speculate for fear of being spoilery. Oh yeah, and the fact that Sloane might be Syd's father. I had this thought in S2, I think it was, after something else he said, so it wasn't a complete shock.

The last ep I saw was ep 16 - the one with Dixon's kids being taken. Before that was the Ricky Gervais ep. Hmm, he didn't really convince me he was anyone else but a slightly pissed off David Brent.

Margot C - July 23, 2004 08:42 AM (GMT)
That's what I thought, Michelle, about RG. It's funny - all the Americans think he was amazing. I didn't think much of him as a serious actor.

She reminded me of some German nazi dominatrix type.

And (not that I can very well) I am never eating with chopsticks ever again. ;)

I think he's great in the Office, but it's like when Eddie Izzard does serious acting. I just can't take either of them seriously.

Oh, and I agree about RG. One of us could have done better Im sure.

Episode 16 - Jack's on Lauren's toes. I love Jack - he's the best. I don't know if I want to read much more of this thread, if you get passed 19 I might read a spoiler. Episode 20 is this coming Sunday.

Oh yeah, I knew something cool had happened at the end of the last episode, but I had forgotten about it. Thats what I get for still watching Alias at 12.50am

So, maybe he'll start investigating her next ep!

And Anna, when I get past ep 19, I'll start a new thread that's marked as being spoilery. :) Although, am I allowed to talk about stuff that hasn't aired on British tv on this board?

I was just thinking. Lauren is supposed to be British, right? (Not that I could tell) I should have known as soon as I found that out that she'd turn out to be evil seeing as Alias has a track record of all Brits being bad - Sark, that guy who kissed "Julia", Daniel Ryan.

Do you reckon we Brits are the most popular bad guys at the moment? What with Sark and David Brent - er, sorry, Daniel Ryan - and then Saunders on 24, I'm starting to think they've got it in for us.

Is Lauren supposed to be English? That bypassed me totally.

I agree! Even in The West Wing they make us out to be weirdos! And the in Buffy there is Dru and Spike...

Why they have an austrailian actress playing a British woman brought up in America is beyond me!

Well, ep 19 all done. So Sloane is not Syd's father after all. Good! It'd be too hard on both Syd & Jack if that had been the case. I kept thinking when Sloane was being "executed", they're gonna stop it somehow, so I was quite shocked when he did "die", but still didn't lose hope until he was on the guerney and Syd was there. I might have known it would turn out alright though. :D

I probably would have finished the season by now, but I had to go out at 9.30 for a mate's birthday, and I'm only back early now cos I have a wedding to go to. I would like to have finished the season by then, so time to crack on with it.

And I'll start a new spoiler marked thread when I've finished! :)
