Whatever It Takes

Based on practically no information and no medical history about a mystery patient sent by the CIA, House is using some unorthodox methods to diagnose and treat him. Meanwhile the remaining candidates are questioning Foreman's judgment.

Sorry to jump the gun on ya little pixie, I just really love this show and wanted to chime in on it. This show continues to be the best on television, I hope the writers strike won't knock this into hiatus for to long if at all. Have to wait and see I guess.

Anyway, I'm really glad Foreman is back I've always enjoyed his relationship with House and I'm glad that he was right to begin with at the start of the case. What the hell was that Polio doctor trying to accomplish? First do know harm anyone? Well some of the others have got to go anyway I suppose, might as well be the extra crazy people first... Loved House's line to the doctor he met at the CIA " No, but it holds my piano level!" :p And lo and behold a new candidate comes into the mix and she is a humdinger... I say that because I love the word humdinger but she is pretty hot, I don't think this bodes well for the Cameron clone especially since it appears that Cameron is still going to be on the show pretty regularly. Any who I can't wait till next week!

A watchable episode

These episodes two distinct but parallel cases livens things up a bit -- if only by opening things up (ie, going outside the hospital).

I loved the scene where House taunts the man who has summoned him, skeptical of his claim about being with the CIA -- then finding an advanced helicopter waiting on the rooftop.

A tall episode. That CIA agent was as tall as House. The CIA doctor is played by the tall (remember to add heel height) and classically beautiful Michael Michele.

Sorry, PW, but so far MM's involvement in the series may be recurring rather than regular. Internet gossips says that's she only done one ep so far. I wonder if she's there in case one of the potential regulars acts up and they need a replacement.

This episode exposes one of my peeves regarding the show. House has no qualms about exploiting his patients for research or personal reasons (eg, he wanted to risk paralysis of the CIPA patient last season in order to obtain nerve material for his personal use). But, we're supposed to hate the doctor who tried to obtain anti-polio data by infecting her. I'm not defending him. I'm accusing the writers of hypocrisy.

Another peeve: House is supposed to be the victor when he finds the cure for the CIA victim. But he even went thru the wrong diagnosis phase too. His eventual cure depended on his owning pretty knowledge of some fairly esoteric terminology.

I know that was pretty good, and then when he has Wilson call him back on the CIA extension was pretty good too.

Is that right? I haven't even looked around to try and find anything out about her. Still though some would be better than none as far as her involvement goes. I hope she becomes a regular she is pretty damn hot! And I liked her right away as opposed to the others, so far I can take them or leave them.

Yeah, I sorta agree, but in general when he does something like that he will usually try it on himself first. Knife in the electrical socket anyone? Or, I can't recall if it was last season or season 2 when he tried that drug out that gave him a killer migraine just so he could de-bunk it. Anyway his joke after the guy left was pretty funny too.

Well, remember that's why he got so pissed in the first place, he went into the office and started hurling insults around because the moron CIA agent didn't think it was relevant to tell them the right country that the guy got sick in. So he only went through all those process because he had virtually no information. As it turned out it took him 5 minutes to solve the case when he got a tiny piece of info.

This seems like one of those situations that annoy real-life physicians. They bothered by expectations becoming too high by viewers watching TV doctors. Now they're supposed to know obscure things like the proper name of a nut -- in a foreign language.

a good episode

didn't house keep polio guy because they were a bit alike, ouch!? still one out, one in (is this going to take the complete season just to choose three people? )

 face of house at helicopter after doubting the CIA guy

 cuddy refusing to believe house cover story and giving him hours

i did like house telling the team that they should have trusted foreman

cameron/foreman argue and then talk

Great episode.

I was shocked when Andy Comeau`s character turned out to have infected the patient with thallium to mimic polio. :o

i suppose he choose that patient because it was a house's patient (reknown doctor and all), his "cure" would have probably been unnoticed with a "normal" patient but he should have known house better
