I was engrossed despite the familiarity of the building blocks of this story. Tight writing can do that. This has a particularly gruesome ending to the main mystery.
I didn't like the story of Derrick's religious phobia but Christians must find it reassuring.
Mantegna fit in well. In another few episodes, he'll be indistinguishable from Pantinkin.
Yeah I agree with you Yank on the Joe front he actually is quite talented and I'm glad they didn't find it necessary to make his behind the scenes investigation a main plot for this season. Although I suspect if the show doesn't go into hiatus for to long they will have an eppy or two focusing on that.
I was a little surprised with the ease that the nut job that just shot what'shername? The computer girl her name is escaping me right now. After last season when she had that little online fling and their whole system got shut down I figured at least she might run the guys name through her puter and see if anything popped up. But she doesn't get out much so I suppose she susceptible to crushes just like a normal girl.

I was completely wrong-footed by Garcia`s date. It seemed like a set-up at first, then it played like Garcia had actually found someone nice, then when he shot her...!! :tear:
I was surprised that she didn`t do a net search on him, too, or at least stick his name in Google. :lol:
I thought the main story was good . Ditto to liking Joe in this one ; you can see some twinkly personality coming through now. :)
