Title: Quick Reply

All,
Based upon a request from one of our members I've added in the 'quick reply' functionality to the forums. These are accessible via the relevant button at the bottom of the page in any of the individual threads.
At the moment, this is accessible via a button however I'll have a look to see if I can hardcode this so that it's permanently open.
Further to this you may also that some of the buttons/icons have changed. Sadly as I didn't set up the original appearance of the board I wasn't able to add in a button in the same style of the existing buttons. Consequently I've switched all of the command buttons at the bottom of any thread, and at the top of every message. I'm not 100% happy with the post command buttons as they're different designs. At some point in the near future I'll create some new 'themed' buttons to replace them all with.
Finally, we've decided to close down the NYPD Blue board as it wasn't being used, and didn't look like there was any particular reason to keep it open. Other boards will be reviewed as and when.

All the buttons top and bottom of each thread have now disappeared.....all I get is little a red x in each instead of the button function.......the buttons do still work but I am relying on memory/guesswork as to what each one does...... :shrug: :unsure:

Odd. The images are hosted offsite, pretty much as the previous images were. The only difference that I can think of is that the new images may be .gifs whereas the others were .jpgs.
The link above that Sarah's posted appears to be quite comprehensive. Try it out and let us know how you get on. I'd imagine it's possibly either something with your internet options or the settings of any anti virus/firewall that you may be using that don't like .gifs under the current settings.

Looks like its something to do with the firewall they run here at work......the buttons all display fine on my home computer and laptop......

Someone else (can't for the life of me remember who) had a similar problem a while back and it was because of their firewall settings :)

Luckily the 'Quote' and 'Report' buttons at top right of each post display ok.......so at least I wont keep reporting people by accident...... :lol:
