Title: Mysterious Cities of Gold

At long, long, long, last, Mysterious Cities of Gold is getting a well-earned DVD release.

Region 2 gets the releases first, ahead of both R1 and R4, and should commence from February next year. The releases will be in the form of 3 double disc sets, each containing 13 episodes, complete and unedited. Apparently, both the picture and sound are getting workovers as well

With this, Ulysses 31 and Thundercats getting DVD releases, the only one left now is Star Fleet

Mysterious Cities of Gold

I remember watching it now and again in the late 80s(?) but it just seemed to go on and on. Did they ever reach their goal or whatever they were meant to be doing? sk

^^ For all intents and purposes, yes, the series had an ending, although they left things slightly open-ended, just in case they wanted to do more.

If you watched the series back on the Beeb, they showed the series twice during the late 80s. The first time they showed all of the episodes, the second time they omitted a couple. Not sure which episodes these were, but conceivably, they may have been the last couple, hence the belief that the series didn't have an ending.

Thanks for clearing that up  always wondered about that.
