Cor !
Thought the first episode was good, but in comparison with this one.... :o
Anyone else enjoy the whole Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy homage ? Gemma Jones as the Beryl Reid character ( who was also called Connie ;) ) living in the countryside as a retired spy.
Oooh, kidnapping and torturing other spies. :fear:
Since Spooks has bumped off plenty of people, I did find the whole Zaf and Aadam stuff quite nailbiting. :ponder:
Is it too obvious to think that Copenhagan is the Home Secretary ?

They better not kill off Zaf, he was the first out of the new lot that I actually warmed to :tear:. Wouldn't really care if they bumped off Ros or Jo tho.
It wouldn't surprise me if the Home Secretary was Copenhagen, the HO is always portrayed in a pretty bad light on the show and wasn't the last Home Secretary also a baddie? :ermm:
Looks like this could turn out to be a decent arc which will be good.

First thing I thought of as well although I didn't pick up on them having the same name. :)
Another excellent episode  the song Sisters are doing it for themselves sprung to mind after watching it. ;)
One of the good thing's about Spooks is that because they've been prepared to kill off major characters before it does mean that when the characters are in trouble you do get a real sense of jeopardy because you think they might actually die, I didn't actually think Saf was dead - they wouldn't waste the opportunity by killing him off screen - but I thought Jo might be a goner. I did  @ her when the Russian says Adam is cold and she reply's 'benefit's of a public school education.' :) I'd miss her more than Saf or Ros because ( and its not for the obvious reason :snooty: ;) ) we got to see her being recruited and turned into a spy which has meant I've become more attached to her.
Regards Copehagen when the French spy was asking Ros if she knew who her real enemies were I thought it was a sarky reference to our so called allies the US.

Great conclusion to the 2 parter! I thought Jo was dead for sure. As has been said, because they’ve killed off so many leading cast members already, you know they’re not afraid to kill more.
I’m looking forward to the rest of the series. I can’t remember them normally having an arc running through a series, so the whole Copenhagen thing should be interesting.

wow :o excellent conclusion of the story arc, actions packed, tension, jo nearly being killed (i hope she won't be in this kind of situation too often this season  )
not sure about copehangan :ponder:
i hope the rest of the season is going to be as good

Thought all the Connie scenes were terrific ; they really went out of their way to establish her character properly. Good idea to give Harry a confidante.
Loved the bit when Connie`s drinking gin, hears the cars and goes straight for her gun. Then realises it`s Harry and uses her mouth spray thingy.
I hadn`t noticed she says Malcolm, come in from the cold - another Le Carre reference. :)
Aw, Connie saves the day by sneaking into the Cabinet Office and stealing info. At the end, it looks like Harry`s going to use the info to blackmail the Home Sec into allowing Connie back into the service.
It was a nice touch to follow the sick Lunch Lady`s story - I assumed she was dead at the end, then she opened her eyes and her husband was there. Aww. :D
