Title: Californication
Psycho Jack - September 23, 2007 06:13 PM (GMT)
Loving this.
It’s Duchovny new show on Showtime btw and it’s currently one of my favourite shows. Lots of swearing, lots of nudity and actually genuinely, refreshingly funny in parts.
Anyone else watching?
I believe Five already have the right and will be showing is a double bill with 30 Rock (which is also damn good!) in October.

Nope, not seen it, but great news that 30 Rock will be shown over here - after the big Emmy win, I was thinking of getting the DVDs to see what the fuss was about.

I didn't know what to make of it at first but it has grown on me. I'm actually starting to like Hank

Only seen the first episode so far but I already love it
David Duchovny is brilliant in a role like no other I've seen him play before and couldn't have imagined it but he so works in it :D
It was genuinely funny although the more prudish might not find it so
But that line when the husband came home and Hank says "maybe I should hide under your c**t, he'll never find me there" had me in tears
Brilliant stuff and I can't wait for the rest of the series

It took me a while to get it, if I were you I'd give it another try, it is being ironic most of the time :)

I`m behind with Grey`s Anatomy, Prison Break and Studio 60 right now, I`m not sure I`m going to take on another show.

Chili Peppers sue US TV network Rock band the Red Hot Chili Peppers are suing a US network over the name of its TV show, Californication. The band says the title is "immediately associated in the mind of the consumer" with its 1999 album and single release.
It has filed a lawsuit against Showtime Network - the makers of the TV show, which stars David Duchovny as a writer going through a mid-life crisis.
"For some TV show to come along and steal our identity is not right," said the band's singer, Anthony Kiedis.
He described Californication as "the signature CD, video and song of the band's career".
'Dani California'
The legal action seeks a permanent injunction barring Showtime from using the title of the show and "disgorgement of all profits derived by the defendants". It says the programme also features the character, Dani California, which is also the title of a Red Hot Chili Peppers song which was released in 2006.
Tom Kapinos, the show's creator and executive producer, was unavailable for comment.
In July, he told reporters that he first heard the term "Californication" in the state of Oregon.
"Apparently in the 70s there were bumper stickers that said 'Don't Californicate Oregon', because Californians were coming up there, and I just thought it was a great, great title for this show," he said.

Twats
They'll have a hard job proving they recorded that album before the word's first use in Time magazine in 1972. Hey, maybe Time should sue the Chilis :lmao:

Yep, they haven't got a hope in hell of winning
