The Right Stuff
House is secretly trying to treat a fighter pilot who is candidate for NASA's astronaut training program. Her diagnose will be the test to choose which ones of the 40 applicants are going to take the empty spots in his team. |
Discuss. :)

I didn't enjoy this as much. Too diffuse with too many candidates (altho that made for the great line "Row D. You're fired.")
I wish they had built up the synesthesia instead of spending so much time on the candidates. Synesthesia is a fascinating affliction where the senses get mixed up (eg, someone who tastes shapes -- "that tastes like a triangle"). I've often wondered if I have a form of that. Or if everyone has a mild form which helps them process memories.

Oooh, do tell. Sounds fascinating. :D
Even though I didn`t enjoy this as much as last week`s, I still think it was the best thing I saw all week.
I really liked the older `Doctor`s ` story, the House hallucinations ( esp. when he has to ask his new team if they can also see Chase  ) and, the best bit, when Wilson says he can`t possibly divulge his secret Nepalese scanning techniques. :lmao:
I really didn`t like the blonde scary doctor. Very well acted. :fear:

an ok episode, maybe too much people to really care about, house probably took the old doc to have him to deal with cuddy
not sure about the "i didn't quit, i let everyone think i was quitting, for them to quit" girl
love number 6, coming back at number 9 and getting an other chance with house because he gave an idea
house seeing or hallucinating his old team and wilson more or less covering the truth

It's a difficult thing to describe, especially when it's not occurring at the moment. It's just that some old memories are accompanied by strong physical sensations which at closer inspection don't seem related.

:ponder:
A student of a teacher friend saw people as specific colours based on their name. She was a `lilac`, apparently. :)
There`s a hypothesis that babies have synaesthesia, that their senses are all bound up as one and that the senses disconnect as the baby gets older.

If two of us agree with it, that makes it a theory. ;)

When it's you and I who agree with it, it's a "fact"!

Now I just need to find someone to agree with me that the Earth is flat. And carried on the back of a turtle and four elephants.
