Acclaimed prison escape drama. Brothers Michael and Lincoln find their roles reversed, with Michael now incarcerated in the lawless Sona prison in Panama. The prison's 'kingpin' sets his sights on him, but Michael receives help from an unlikely source.

Discuss. :)

Yeah, there are spoilers here, and if you're fool enough to read a thread about an episode you've not seen then you get everything you deserve :p

Excellent :)

I'm liking the Sona set-up, and it'll be interesting to see just how Michael will get the Company's 'contact' out without having any idea how to do it. Just a shame they're still focussing on this Company rubbish in the first place.

And I felt so wrong for cheering on Mahone when he jumped in on Michaels fight and killed the other guy....

I could have started another thread but I thought that I may as well post here instead. I am becoming concerned that Prison Break is becoming another Lost, it's like 'he's in jail AGAIN'.

Am I mistaken?

Weren't people complaining last year though that it WASN'T set in a prison anymore?

Nick - September 19, 2007 02:41 PM (GMT)
Not me  but the number of questions left unanswered is becoming very lost-esque, it's like when you think you get somewhere, you're almost back to square one!

Well after the last season I am hoping this one will keep me as captivated as the first season, the last one seemed to pale in comparasion. This first episode was quite interesting, I felt a little sorry for Bellick, he seems to have drawn the shortest straw, at least meeting, or rather talking through a wall to this guy Michael has to break out he will at least get fed.

I thought that was quite sneaky of Michael to declare he wasn't fighting and give the guy what for when his back was turned, I am not quite sure what Mahone was thinking of when he killed the guy? Maybe he is hoping Michael will forgive him if he knows Mahone is looking out for him? The guy who was running the place didn't seem to happy that he had interjected though, I have a feeling he will have it in for Mahone in future episodes.

All in all, I thought it was a good start to the season.

I didn't feel sorry for Bellick at all, he deserves everything he gets - and then some

I think Mahone just wanted to make sure Michael stayed alive as he said Michael is his get out of jail free card. Although Mahone often looks like he sympathises I think he is pretty much self driven and would sacrifice anyone other than family.

Just how stupid is Lincoln's son

great start to the season

Enjoyed the first episode . :)

I am one of the people who thought it lost its way last season so I was all for putting Michael back inside and from the looks of it the Sona set up looks quite promising.

I always quite liked Mahone :ph43r: as I never thought of him as totally evil so I would quite like them to team up although how much help he's going to be once his withdrawal symptons start to kick who knows.

The guy playing the bad guy running the prison plays such a decent guy in The Wire its going to take some getting used to in this role.

Fantastic start to the season.

I too wasn't too enamoured with last season, I let the episodes pile up cos it just wasn't as intense or as thrilling as the first series, looks like its back on track.

Absolutely love the Sona set up.

I'm a bit confused at to how T bag managed to get in with the Lechero so quickly, I must have missed what he said to him

I'm wondering how long it will take before Sucre ends up in Sona too.....

God I forgot about Sucre, isn't his girlfriend still locked up somewhere ? :(

I loved the first episode

The violence with which it started showed, immediately, how horrific the conditions in there are and the new characters also showed their true colours pretty fast as well so there was no boring "getting to know the scenario" episodes

Of course, Michael wasn't going to get out straight away  but I have no idea as to why he's needed or who the Whistler character is and what he means to The Company  So I'm looking forward to lots of mystery and twists and turns

One of the most fascinating things about this season, for me, is that the prison and the way it's run is based on real life, where the inmates rioted so badly in a South American prison (I forget where now  ) that the guards retreated to the perimeters and let the inmates run the prison themselves. It's difficult to believe that what you're watching on a prime time entertainment show actually happened

I can't wait for the rest of the season

:o

I did not know that.

Well, I gave up on Prison Break a few eps before the end of the second season, so I`m playing catch up.

Quite enjoyed it, but it`s not the nail-biter that the pilot ep was.

quite a good episode

very different kind of prison (well it's not an american set), different rules and michael has a long way to go before even getting a chance to find a way out, not sure he will do it as "easily" as in the first season, expecially with mahone around (that guy would do anything to get out of there, even backstab michael if he get a chance or if he is really in need of "supply")
