Title: Grey's Anatomy Season 3
Description: Living tv pace
Outta Sight - September 7, 2007 07:22 PM (GMT)
I just finished watching the final of the 3 part ferry boat disaster episodes and, apart from being delighted to see Denny again  I have to say it was really well done
The third installment was a little weird with it veering off it's normal, very real feeling but it didn't feel totally out of place in the series.
I think Christina has become my favourite character despite, or perhaps because of, her inability to deal with anything emotional on a day to day basis but, when it comes down to the line, she steps up and lets her feelings show :)

I`ve seen the middle episode only. :)
I must be more diligent with my tv viewing/videoing.
Although I did squeak at the sight of thingy who got blown up in that season 2 ep, you know, he was in that series with that ginger cat. :ph43r:

^^ Early Edition.
You'll also see him (Kyle Chandler?) starring in Friday Night Lights.
I have to say, the three-parter was fantastic, but then, Grey's has always done the multi-episode stories very, very well.

Thanks James. :)
I was too lazy to look it up. :ph43r:

There's been many a show that have used the 2 parter as a hook to get viewers but few, I think, have ever used a 3 parter, knowing that perhaps it drags out a storyline too long. Grey's is probably one of the few shows that can carry it off
I was initially sceptical about the spin off but if they can keep up the same quality as the original, I'll happily watch

Babylon 5 successfully utilised a three-part story at the mid-point of its five season run to completely change the direction of the entire series. I think that's probably the finest use of a three-part story strategy that I can remember :)

Just watched the first of the 2 parter that heralds Addison's leaving and the new series, Private Practice  Gotta say, didn't hate it :D Don't know why I had any doubts, it's still Sondra Rhimes behind the scenes so there's no reason to think this will be any less great than Grey's.
I already love the new characters, even though we've barely touched the surface of them but maybe that's because the actors are so familiar and such good favourites of mine
The second part is next :)

Casting spoiler : They got rid of Merrin Dungey. :(

Bummer! :( I was looking forward to seeing more of that character.
The second parter was just as good  It's weird, as Piz in Veronica Mars, Chris Lowell was cute but a bit dorky but in this he's totally sexy  Me likey
It was so sad when Meredith's stepmum died :tear: I wasn't expecting that at all. And for her dad to hit her :o I guess her shot at a proper family has pretty much gone now :ermm:

Another great season finale
It was both nice but sad to see Christina showing such emotion for once :tear: I knew what happened through reports on the internet but I didn't know that it would get so close to going through with the wedding :( Another second more and she'd been down that aisle :(
Poor George :tear: Could his life get more complicated?  I wonder what he'll do now? :ponder: The new interns coming in was a good touch and the reason why we see he doesn't consider repeating his internship an option. And, of course, there's Lexy Grey  I can't remember her from previous episodes, the only daughter I knew was Molly, the one that had the baby but that could certainly be an interesting dynamic, especially since I'm assuming that, probably, Meredith is going to be assigned to work with her
I'm glad the chief is staying on (or, at least, I assume he does) cos he's such a wonderful mix of boss/mentor/father figure for them all

I`ve still got the finale to watch, but I liked the Private Practice two-parter thingy and I`ll look forward to seeing the series, if we get it.
