I'd forgotten what I liked about the first series of Rome - its earthiness and physicality as well as terrific performances from the actors. It does seem a bit clunky and uneven at times, but for me this just adds to its charm, I am replete with the watching of slick tv. Last night's episode felt so refreshing and delicious! Poor children though. :tear:

I remember discussing the first series on here quite alot. At the moment it is probably the thing on TV I look forward to most.
