Few announcements.

Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital has been slated for a 1st August release date onto R2 DVD. No details of what the set will include yet though, beyond the full season of episodes that is.

Rather disappointingly, it looks as though The Shield Season 2 has been pushed back, and now sees a release date of 9th August. (which effectively confirms that I'll be getting the already available R1 version !!)

July 26th sees the release of ER Season 2. The set will include;

Commentary x 2 episodes
ER Specialists - Anatomy of an episode 10:00 est
Life as an ER Doctor - 10:00 est
Easter Egg - Bentonlcarter 2:00 est
Outpatient Outtakes 7:30 est
Gag Reel 5:24

And don't forget, July 19th sees the release onto R2 of Smallville Season 2. Again, the set includes;

I got the Region 1 version of Season 1 of The Shield and it was 4:3 fullscreen. The Region 2 version was 1.78:1 widescreen. That's kinda put me off buying the Region 1 season 2 set. I'll have to wait till August!

Ooh, cheers for that. I hadn't noticed that at all. I got the R2 season 1 set myself when it was in the HMV sale for £19.99.

Given that, and the fact that I have them all downloaded anyway I may now be inclined to wait for the R2 set myself.
