It's 1930s New York. As Manhattan finds itself in the grip of The Great Depression, people are disappearing off the streets. Savage Pig Men are hiding in the sewers and, at the very top of the Empire State Building, the Doctor's oldest nemeses, The Daleks, are busy preparing their most audacious plan yet.
The Doctor and Martha must team up with the locals to defeat the Daleks and prevent an already depressed capital city from total ruin. |

human dalek: "i am your future" :fear:
i kinda prefer the old version because that's quite ugly, if they are trying to be more like human being, they really failed :ermm:
was it me or that episode was too slow? too much history (1929 crash, NY and the homeless people, an other reminder of the daleks war, ........) . if part two is the same, kinda of a waste of a two parts episodes :ermm:
i did like martha recognizing the name dalek (well the doctor kinda talk about it the episode before) but staying quiet about it (good thing it wasn't rose, she kinda upset them in last season finale  ). martha agreeing about the fact she is falling for the doctor but he didn't even notice it

I kind of hoped with the Daleks getting the men to modify the Empire State Building you would get to see what the modifications actually did. Did I see right, was there a Dalek that was modified from a pillar?
Was it just me or was the girl playing Tallulah's accent anoying?
The second part better had be a bit more exciting. For some reason I thought both parts were being shown this week and that was the only thing keeping me awake.

i thouht the modification on the building was part of the daleks's evolution but it seem not (just assimilate a human and a few drugs seemed to be the way) ......... just have to wait next week then :ponder:

New York again? Hmmmm. Watchable but last weeks was such a tough one to follow that it was bound to be a bit "pah"

Wasn't at all impressed with the Dalek/Human hybrid - and well done Radio Times for taking away any surprise element whatsoever
Wonder if it was intentional that the foremans name sounded vaguely like Davros (or is that just me?)

dalek checking martha to see if she was smart, not noticing that she had time tavelling energy (last year finale) , guess he/it can only check one thing at the time  :ermm:

Not the best episode of the season so far, but enjoyed it even so.
The only thing that spoiled it for me was the Radio Times cover. I'm trying to avoid spoilers of all sorts for all shows I watch, but it's damn hard to avoid the Radio Times!
