So does that mean Sunday's was the season finale? Didn't seem like one

prophecy girl - May 8, 2007 07:27 PM (GMT)

I haven't really paid attention to this thread before, reading the synopsis it sounded a bit Angel-ish.
Having now watch the first two episodes, more must be got. If only to see more of Henry... :whistling:

He is rather yummy isn't he

I have just watched the episode Norman, I thought it might get a bit more heated between Vicky and Henry than that. Maybe because the audience knows it was actually Norman taking on their appearance makes it unbelievable.

I have just looked at the Blood Ties website, In Tanya Huff's blog she mentions its not the last episode, which is good because that just didn't scream season finale to me.

In other news, I decided to go out and buy one of the Blood books by Tanya Huff, I have got quite into it, a very good read. :)

prophecy girl - May 22, 2007 03:48 PM (GMT)
checked : "norman" is episode 12 out of 22

Darris - May 22, 2007 06:01 PM (GMT)
I find the official website isn't that forthcoming with information. One fan site is showing the next episode is to be shown in October entitled D.O.A. Looks like I am going to have to stick with the books till then. :(

Lifetime - is it still "television for women?" - has ordered nine more episodes of the Canadian-made horror-romance series Blood Ties. The network will air the last nine episodes of this current order in October (though new episodes continue to air now, Sundays at 10). The big hiatus is so the network can premiere new shows.

Darris - May 22, 2007 07:46 PM (GMT)
I hate hiatus's. And what about us downloaders! We're not interested in their fancy new shows, no consideration I tell ya! :p

prophecy girl - May 23, 2007 09:25 AM (GMT)
yes, but we are lucky they just put on hold the serie and not cancelled it

Darris - May 23, 2007 04:46 PM (GMT)
This is true, I would have been quite annoyed if Norman had of been the last episode.

Darris - October 14, 2007 03:32 PM (GMT)
Sorry for the double postage but in my defence they are some time apart!

Hoorah the waiting is over and I am able to watch Henry again...:whistling:
I mean Blood Ties again.

Shame the first episode in the "season premiere" was not quite as action packed as I was hoping.

Still, its being released on dvd in January over here so time to get saving.

:lmao: @ the Henry comments, I feel exactly the same way

Having said that, I'm really enjoying the show itself as well  I like the characters and the storylines. It may not be the best best show on tv at the moment but it's fun and a bit dark, in a slightly cheesey way :ermm: , and, like most people, or maybe just the women  I'm dying to see Vicky and Henry get it on :ph43r:

:lmao:

Hang on, didn`t that happen in episode one ?

I`m a couple of eps behind, but still watching. :)

melian - October 17, 2007 07:19 PM (GMT)
Yay! It's back

Not a fantastic episode, true, but enjoyable all the same!!!

Darris - October 18, 2007 12:29 AM (GMT)
If any of you are interested a guy from Sci-Fi talk (i'm assuming thats an American thing) invited fans of the show to phone and mail their comments and thoughts of the show. He gathered them together and also had some of the cast speaking about working on the show. I really enjoyed listening to it, and it was fun to hear some of the casts thoughts after missing their live chat they did recently.

If anyone is keeping up with this the last two episodes of this season are being posted up on Lifetime's BT page ONLY. They are not being televised. I myself can't pick up anything in the US so will have to hope some techie can get them on the torrent network.

Whether Living will be operating the same system or not I don't know. I do know that people have been posting future episodes of the show but dubbed in Russian, as it seems Russia has already got the episodes before the US. Maybe Lifetime are putting the last two eps to stop spoilers or they have realised they have a strong internet audience with people watching episodes via their website and downloading from itunes. Whatever the case fans are not holding out that Lifetime are going to pick this up for another season. Lifetime asked the author of the books Tanya Huff (who does weekly blogs for the episodes) to advise internet fans that the episodes wouldn't be televised, which most people think is a cop out.

How strange.

We in the UK are up to Bugged , ep 2 x 04. :)

Well as Living has gone straight ahead and not had a break like the US did, let hope you get to see the last two on the tv and not have to watch it via the pc.

i like the pilot, quite good, different kind of vampire (still a bit of angel in there  )

and an excellent casting

Darris - December 3, 2007 08:33 PM (GMT)
I thought it was a bit Angelish - until I read the book and realised it was more based on that than a copy of Joss's work. And I would rather look at Kyle Schmid than Mr Boreanaz. :p

prophecy girl - December 4, 2007 10:58 AM (GMT)
episode 2 (or 3 as the pilot was two parts  )

the chemistry between the character is growing, great plot if not a bit silly. the dialogues are sharp and the non-verbal communication always spoke volume.

and Wow! the snake coming out the mans mouth was fabulous (i saw that kind of scene somewhere else :ponder:  ) .

also Henry could give a bit more credit to Coreen. Telling her not to believe everything you hear or read is ok but he when tries her suggestion hes not putting much faith in Coreen.

Darris - December 4, 2007 04:32 PM (GMT)
Do you mean Bad Juju? The pilot was split into two part when it was shown on Living, I watched it in one as I aquired. :whistling:

If it is Bad Juju you are talking about, it's not one of my favourite episodes, although the chemistry between Vicki and Henry are worth watching. My favourite episodes are probably Heart of Ice and Heart of Fire, the last being a continuation of the first.

This is possibly one of my new favourite shows of the season (over here, at least, not sure how it aired over the water  ) and not just because of Henry   :ph43r:

I've seen Christina Cox in a load of bit parts in series', in fact she was just in this week's episode of Bones over here (which makes me wonder whether Bloodties has ended now  :tear: ) and I think she's highly underated. She is absolutely great as Vicky

<Cries>

What will I do without Henry?  :ph43r:

Forget Angel, forget Spike, sexiest vampire on tv EVER!

But, seriously, I also thought it was a damn good show as well with good storylines and a great cast :(

I'm gutted that it's finished :tear:

Darris - December 12, 2007 02:24 AM (GMT)
From what I am reading from various replies people are getting back from certain websites, its not looking good for it being picked up for another season by Lifetime. Hopefully another network will see its potential and give us at least one more season. I hate it when shows are cancelled, they don't even get the chance to end the story. They did it with Blade the series, it was most infuriating being left on a cliffhanger.
