SG-1 finds a alien museum on another planet but are mistaken for a bunch of rebels that have taken hostages.

I loved this episodes if only for feeling like an 'old school' SG-1 where they go through the gate and arrive on a planet, have an adventure and go home - something I think we've lost in the past few seasons with the series' continued focus on ongoing plots. Dare I say it would work well as an episode to show new viewers of the series since there are no ties to past episodes (I don't even think the 'Previously...' was necessary)

Although it shows that Browder wrote this - why else would Mitchell and Vala struggle to dial the gate themselves instead of having Mitchell call Teal'c and have him do the dialling as in the past?

And while it's sad that there isn't a big long arc ending the series and wrapping up the Ori story, we know Sci-Fi cancelled it at the last minute, when the series was intended to go on to an 11th season (and from what I gather an 11th season seemed more likely this time compared to other seasons). Thus episodes like this one and the previous weeks weren't written to be the 5th and 6th episodes from the end - they were done like the equivalent episodes in every other season, and if people just accept them as that as opposed to something else that was not planned for I'd hope they enjoyed it more.

I loved it! I laughed so much in this episode, it was a welcome break from all the seriousness of the past few weeks (even the school reunion one wasn't as funny and lighthearted as this  ).

I really liked it as well, and i don't think it was bad for a 5th to last episode, it was an original storyline, the kind of story i used to watch SG-1 for. BB did a good job. I liked the humour in it as well, watching them pretending to be bad guys was fun.

I'm not bothered that there's not much of an Ori arc, don't really like the Ori storyline. As long as the show ends with episodes that i enjoy, i'll be happy.
