A new TV drama set in Buckingham Palace and based on a fictional royal family is to be made by UK broadcaster ITV. The Palace, which has been compared to US drama The West Wing, will be shown in eight hour-long episodes next year. It will be made by Company Pictures, the production team behind the award-winning royal drama Elizabeth I, starring Dame Helen Mirren. A spokeswoman for ITV said: "It is still early days but it should be fantastic. We are very excited." The series will be written and produced by Tom Grieves, who helped make Channel 4 police drama Ghost Squad. Story from BBC NEWS: |
