Title: Resolutions?

jamiearmour - January 2, 2007 08:19 PM (GMT)
Did you make any this year? Have you broken them aready?

I resolved to always finish what I've started, so I'm now completely re-editing my fan-fics and getting ready to post them :fear: :fear:

I also resolved to give up smoking. Again  That one lasted about an hour, which is, admittedly, better than last year

I`m having a sort-out - one thing gets thrown out/relocated from the dumping ground that is the spare room every day. :)

I just couldn`t face doing it all in one go.

Ooh, and the same as last year - to read more. :D

I nearly resolved not to get any more DVDs/books until I`d seen/read all the ones I`ve got, but....Erm.... You know where this is going. :ph43r:

Lose weight - I'm going on holiday during the summer with my skinny size 8/10 friends :fear:

Pretty much the same resolution - ate far too much over Christmas

Going on holiday with skinny friends is awful. I'm a 10 and looked like a whale next to my size 4/6 friends in the pics from last summer. Damn them <_<

Tidied for you :)

Aww :) But I'd rather be their size. Though unfortunately I think getting to a size 4 would involve total lack of eating, which I could never do

Can you even get size 4 clothes ?

Darris - January 3, 2007 01:54 AM (GMT)
Yes, its called childrens clothing! :p

My friends are a size 6 and 8, too small i think. They could put weight on to make the rest of us look better! :p

My size 4 friend gets most of her clothes from French Connection and New York!

I know an anorexic girl who can't even fit a 4, so either makes her clothes, or buys them bigger and takes them in.

prophecy girl - January 3, 2007 10:01 AM (GMT)
:ermm: lose weight ;)

read more B)

make one new friend

Cardelia - January 3, 2007 11:01 AM (GMT)
My resolution is not to post bad things about Chris Read in order to wind up Dave :) Although if he gets a duck in the second innings as well I may have to break it <_<

Hovis - January 3, 2007 11:52 AM (GMT)
Yet another one for the Losing Weight. (Sitting here munching a clementine, rather than chocolate from the machine! Well, it's a start!)

More reading too... that's a good one.

Be more positive, and also more organised!

Andrew :yahoo:

ps and to get back to posting here as regularly as I was before too.

Another one for the losing weight camp here........ate (and drank) way too much over Christmas........

Would also go for the 'Read more'.......but as I havnt found the time to read anything for the last few months I may have to go for 'Read something' as a reachable goal.......possibly.......

My other one was to try and shift the ever growing list of odd jobs that need doing around the house.....made a start yesterday by putting up a new light fitting in the kitchen.....so far, so good.....

Outta Sight - January 3, 2007 02:23 PM (GMT)
I don't usually make any as I always break them but I've just made my one and only which is actually achievable. I'm going to try and scale down my overdraft usage until I don't have one at all (well, maybe a little one as a buffer :whistling: )

Persephone - January 3, 2007 04:08 PM (GMT)

My Mom was a size 6 for about 20 years. It was impossible to buy clothes for her, I think at the time only Next did a size 6 (I'm only going back 5 years) so I'm a little confused as to anything smaller than a 6.

Are you sure these aren't made up sizes to flatter young women into not becoming anorexic. Unfashionably, I haven't bought any new clothes for a few years

Who on earth what fit a size 0 :o

endgame - January 3, 2007 07:35 PM (GMT)
I don't tend to do resolutions but I think this year I'll be trying to lose some weight - I slightly over-indulged on the chocs over Christmas  . I don't want to go to drastic extremes though (I always thought size 6s were an urban myth, never mind the size zero :o :fear: ), just some toning - I like being curvy :)

Also, I suppose I should try and finish that pesky thesis thing I've been trying to do for the past 3 and a bit years

Ooh, and I think I might curb the spending :whistling:

ETA: And I definitely want to cut back on my reality tv habit this year, so no Big Brother! Well, maybe the celeb one, depending on who's on this year :shifty: :ph43r:

prophecy girl - January 3, 2007 08:16 PM (GMT)
:ph43r: depend if hasselhoff is in it or not (can we handle him singing during BB :ermm: :fear:  )

i will also try to be more organized (still have a few box unpacked since i moved  )

I'm a size 12 atm and I'd be happy going down to a size 10, don't think I'd really want to go below that. I'm not built to be skinny, I like some of my curves

buffy_fan1 - January 3, 2007 11:29 PM (GMT)
I never make any Resolutiions as just can't keep them <_<

I do need to lose weight though :( to all those who are the same boat cheer up at least you don't need to lose as much as me! :(

Darris - January 4, 2007 12:53 AM (GMT)
With so many of us wanting to loose a bit of weight (me included, way too many chocolates eaten in the past fortnight) we could start a club! I would like to be a size 10, realistically though going back to being a size 12 would be fine.

I'm a size 6 and cos I'm also 5'8" I look like a beanpole. When I was younger people were always asking if I was anorexic (not to my face, to my friends  ) I've been the same weight since I was 13 and it doesn't matter what I eat, I can't put weight on.

I'm currently scarfing down a sausage toastie with cherry coke and that's just beakfast  It won't make a blind bit of difference :tear:

I would love to have some curves but I've come to accept that this is the way I look
