| Weevils - aliens who have come through the Rift - are being abducted by humans; Owen faces a dark trial in the course of investigating. |

not really a great episode, i was expecting a better plot for the weevils than a fight club kind of thing.
apart that, owen <_< ........... his dealing with last week event was ok until he started pushing everyone, now i am just wondering about his "gift" of calming two weevils with a hiss
gwen .............. guess she is not gonna keep her social life together as jack asked her but boyfriend was a little too much (especially at the restaurant)
a little more of ianto but not enough to make him more interesting
the trailer for the season finale was interesting :)

Torchwood does Fight Club - it was OK as far as it went. More moral ambiguity from Jack, letting yet another person die when he could have intervened.

I thought I had responded to this already?
I found this an odd episode. I thought Gwen was a coward telling Reece about Owen and then saying she had drugged him with the amnesia things.
I felt quite sorry for the weevil when it was tied up and the guy was beating him up, I was hoping it would escape, but I guess it got it revenge in the end. The whole group seems to rather detached from each other now, I hope the writers will start pulling them together seen as they are such a small unit and spend so much time togther.
Next weeks looks good!

I warmed a bit towards Owen in this episode but I won't miss him much if they kill him off in the finale, he's been an arse for the rest of the season .
Rhys has been treated terribly by Gwen and while he shouldn't have lost it in the restaurant she shouldn't have been sleeping with Owen and she certainly shouldn't have drugged him.

Not moral ambiguity from Jack at all in my opinion, these people made a choice to fight the Weevils in the cage and the person that died at the end made a choice to enter the cage, why save him over the creature that had no choice in the proceedings - a Weevil. Doesn't the Weevil have as much rights as a human to exist, and be safe from torture? Toshiko mentioned this and at the end we see Jack agree with her point of view.
We don't see Jack going around and killing weevils and torturing them, he captures and stores them to keep the public safe and probably wants to return them to where they came from.
A good episode, and Owen has always been a favourite of mine, I don't neccessarily like his character but you don't need to like the character to be a fan. Again some more of his agressive, garrish behaviour with witty comments has entertained me, and I hope they don't kill him off.

jack could have killed the weevil attacking owen but he didn't (just wounded him).
but then again jack seemed to have way too much fun hunting for the first one we had in the episode :ermm:

Sorry I thought thats what you meant because in that moment shooting the Weevil was the only option to saving him, as I recall the man entered the cage without anyone noticing.....so its not like Jack could stop him going in or get him out. Only option was to shoot the Weevil, which he decided not to.
