I don't post anymore.

I never seem to find the time, I always have an excuse, to much work, needing to be places, trying to keep some resemblance of a fitness regime, but mainly it's cause a few years back I stumbled across the Buffy Boards on the BBC site and met some of the most sincere, amazing and friendiest people it's been my pleasure to know on this crazy internet thingy, and when they closed down I kinda thought that an era had come to an end.... there was no need to post anymore ... it was like... enough now, thats as good as it gets. Never go back I guess

I still lurk, well my inbox occassionally gets bombarded with mails from the crazy few who actually became the best of friends due that dumb old BBC posting board. You see these people not only shared my taste in TV programmes, they moved house with me, went through a divorce, laughed at the antics of my crazy dog (he's still crazy by the way).. Once in while I say Hi.. and you know what they ask after me... now thats cool.

So, yesterday my inbox lit up with various messages saying that two of these people had been banned from posting here... now I have no idea why, in fact I don't really care in fact - but what I do want to say is that if a random guy who knows these people from the dim and not so distance past feels compelled to say that he thinks thats a mistake then may be just may be..... it's time to make Amends ...

... because it's Christmas and I thought that was the time of peace and goodwill to all men, not just the ones that don't ever step out of line. Cos really wouldn't the world be pretty dull if no one ever did...

I'm not totally sure myself why this has happened now. I think we're all a little bit confused but it's an admin decision, made with good intentions for the well being of the rest of the board, and that's good enough for me.

This place has changed a lot since it started. A few of us were here, long before the demise of the Beeb, and had already established a community within ourselves.

When the BBC boards closed down, we tried to keep all the communities together, and have somewhere for people to post. It went okay for a long time, but over the last few months the increased level of bitchy and catty comments has started to drive some people away, and even a few of the longest serving members are put off from posting. Some of us don't think it's a coincidence that it's become like this due to Max's return here.

This is just my opinion of what's been happening. To be perfectly frank, and I am expecting a barrage of abuse for saying this, but personally I don't feel that Max is the problem. I think she's been put in a bad light, due to other people's over reactions in defending her posts.

And there's your big problem, you're doing everything in a sly manner. Some of us, some people, well bloody speak up, don't hide in your mod board conniving.

Owners/adminstrators can do what they like it's their board but just doing in the open and tell the people concerened what the f.ck is going on.

it is great to have max on the board but like i don't spent 24/7 on the board i can't hardly say if there was more smutty :naughty: comments (or worse) than usual (apart in one thread but i thought it has been dealt with :unsure: )
