I was in Asda the other day and saw a screenplay version of Hogfather, which is part live action, part CGI, but it didn't tell me any more details about when it was out.

I dug around on t'internet last night and found that it was a two part tv movie that was being shown on Sky One over Christmas. Not much good for me, so I guess i'll have to download it.

There's a big feature on the Hogfather in the new SFX which is out this week - it's also on the cover :)

I've always felt that Terry Pratchett stuff is pretty much unfilmable. Nearly all the jokes are in the narrative, rather than the dialogue. It'll be interesting to see how well they pull it off. I re-read this over the summer too, so its still quite fresh in my mind.

Some great casting. Marc Warren as Teatime is inspired, and Ian Richardson as Death could be brilliant.

David Jason stars in this spectacular Christmas fantasy, as Terry Pratchett's Discworld is brought to life with stunning special effects. When Discworld's answer to Santa Claus goes missing, the unlikely figure of Death steps into his shoes. Assisted by his manservant Albert, can the grim reaper really replace Father Christmas? Meanwhile, Death's granddaughter Susan decides to track down the Hogfather, and a dastardly plot by the evil Mr Teatime emerges.
