I seem to remember Patrick Stewart complain about an episode of Red Dwarf cause it copied the plot of this episode - even to the extent of intending to call the BBC to complain (of course, he watched the episode, enjoyed it and forgot the complain).
The only problem with this, of course, is that the venerable Mr Stewart was watching the episode 'Thanks for the Memory', which was broadcast in 1988 - a good 3 years before 'Clues' :)
This has nothing to do with the episode, of course, but I've not seen this one in ages and felt I should make the occasional contribution :)
Cheers for that Philip :p
Really enjoyed this one
I love the way in which you don't find out what's really going on until the end of the episode and Data's handling of the situation, with all his "I can not confirm that Captain" type statements.
Obviously on re-watching a fair bit of the mystery is lost but it's still fun watching the crew piece the story together and the consequences of their curiousity :)
