I thought it was a great start to the new season :thumbsup: But that may have something to do with it mostly being about Dean, and he did look awfully cute :ph43r:

I really wasn't expecting Poppa Winchester to die though :blink:

I absolutely love this show and am a huge fan of Poppa W, so I was a bit :cry: at the end of it. However the show is called Supernatural for a reason - so we could see him back!!!

Certainly wouldn't surprise me to see him back in some capacity. Certainly hope so.

A strangely paced start to the season. Wasn't too enamoured with the first half of the episode, but the final 10/15 minutes were very good indeed!

I guess it was strange considering the last episode of the first season. I liked it though being a fan of Dean - not just his looks but he is the much stronger actor of the two brothers so the focus being on him is never bad.

The ending was soooo sign posted but maybe the deal isn't quite as straight forward, I hope not :) nice to see it back

Without reading the thread, I seriously hope they used the Led Zep song of the same name during the episode B)

It's the fact that it's so signposted that makes me think there's more to the deal than meets the eye. Supernatural's not normally so obvious.

I know what you mean about the pacing, James, but somehow I liked that about it because it didn't go down the route of a normal episode. There were some nice touches in it. I loved Sam and Dean communicating via the Ouija board :lol: And the fact that the pretty girl in peril turned out the be the Reaper :)

I didn't expect it to take the angle it did with John, although once the demon (I just knew that Fredric Lane would turn up sooner or later :lol:) said it wanted him to sweeten the deal it became apparent. That just made the ending all the more tense, imo, because I was sitting there hoping it wasn't what I thought :lol:

Very sad, and kind of a cruel irony considering they spent most of the first year trying to catch up with him and help him :tear:

I thought Jensen was superb in this episode. He's always good value, but I can't agree about him being the stronger actor because I think they're both terrific and they both bring very different styles to the table which suit the characters and the dynamic perfectly :thumbsup:

I'm still not convinced 100% about John's demise.

Over the summer the producers were trying to get him on the show full time. I know he got another regular gig, but even so I don't see them killing John off. I think there's more to this.

I'll be interested to know what he whispered to Dean at the end, probably has something to do with what the Demon and John were talking about, about Sam.

Maybe he was whispering to Dean "I've just struck a deal with this demon chap for him to go to Smallville and kill this useless Lana bird so everyone will stop moaning about her" :lmao:

I'm sure even Sam and Dean would have cheered away on that one! :lol:
