Ooh, TNG does 'The Cage'

Trouble with this one for me from a rewatch point of view is that the idea is so old hat now that I just don't find it interesting, although I would guess I didn't have the same problem on the first time around :ponder:

It was still watchable with some more examples of Stewarts acting ability but ultimately just a bit ho hum for me. The ep also hinged around the fact that no attempt was made to explain the odd power reading in the Captains quarters until after it became apparent there was a problem with Picard, which seemed pretty implausible to me

Never been one of my faves. By and large, the main plot with Picard and the other captives is pretty boring and uninvolving but some of the scenes on the Enterprise still make it worth watching, particularly "Picard's" dinner with Bev and then the subsequent double-take the real Picard does when she comes to the Bridge at the end and his slightly strangled and bemused "Engage" to end the episode

Also liked the way the crew w**k together silently to trap the aliens at the end

Anyone else notice that Tholl had Kai Winn's hat on back to front?
