Strange to think that the BBC banned this one when they first aired the series. I wonder what their attitude to it will be now that they're re-running the series on Saturday afternoons because the sad thing, for me is that, in this world we live in, this episode is even more relevant now than it was in 1989 :(

Anyway, this is thought-provoking and exciting and it's interesting to see a charismatic character like Finn throw Beverley's Federation moralising back in her face in such a fashion. The strange thing is that I didn't disagree with much of what he said in that particular scene.

Once again, and I know I keep harping on about it, Ron Jones' score is amazing for a tv show, especially during the assault on the Enterprise, which is possibly the most exciting sequence of the series so far. And Picard finally gets to throw a punch

Methinks Wheaton was making too much of the opportunity to hug Gates at the end :ponder:

I liked this one, helped by the fact that I couldn't remember what happened in it :)

As Steve said, pretty relevant this one and interesting to see lines like 'force doesn't w**k against terrorism' etc. being used - wouldn't go down too well with some Americans that sentiment :ponder:

One of the things that made this episode for me was the terrorst leaders speech to Beverley about how the Federation can afford to take the high moral ground because they've already done all the immoral killing in their past. Bit of a different take and a nice bit of writing :)

Can't quite w**k out why Beverley isn't given some sort of proper dressing down/mark against her record. She disobeyed a direct order, having already disregarded the advice of her security officer, which ultimately resulted in several members of the crew being killed and injured and the Enterprise being drawn in to the conflict (not to mention nearly destroyed).

Personally I would have given her a pretty blunt talking to and noted her actions in my log :ponder:

I would have backed the point up by shooting her in the head with a phaser rifle :snooty:

She'd probably have thrown the hippocratic oath in your face by that point, rendering all other actions on your part inconsequential :p

So you're happy for Picard to be shuffling away whilst watching you and Beverley :o

The worrying this is that obviously at some point, someone, somewhere, sat there and thought "Yeah, Worf and Troi, I can see that w**king......" :fear:
